FemShep only accounted for 18% of all playthroughs. Also, just because a character is playing FemShep doesn't mean they are female. Hell, just because they are playing BroShep doesn't mean they are male. 

 

Why do you generalize and group female gamers into such groups? Do they have to conform to your generalizations? Why do you hate women so much?

Indeed I play both male and fem shep. Personally I think it just depends on what your aiming for and what you want to accomplish in each playthrough. I currently have a male shep on he go although I only need to do ME3 with him but I am doing an all female run of Dragon Age atm wher I've played my Dalish elf rogue Warden and I'm currently playing a female Sword and shield warrior Hawke, and I also plan a female mage Inquisitor although I haven't quite got to her yet will likely be at least another 2/3 days yet at least befoer I am.

 

I think having both male and female options aer important to the game as it opens up more opportunities for people to pick various different ideas that tel a variety of different stories to a fashion this is one of the main reasons why I like Bioware's games.

It's not necessary, there is games like Tomb Raider and Mirror's Edge around for example, but ME doesn't have set protagonist so there is no point limiting players to one gender. Also taking one gender away would be away from all kinds of players. To answer more seriously to your troll ^^;

Now that we've gotten that taken care of, butt sliders! For male and female characters. The devs need to spend at least two months polishing the butt sliders.  And separate cheeks, too. I want my right one to have an experimental eezo treatment and make it DEFY GRAVITY.

I mean, think about it. Bioware has such a huge female fanbase. Probably one of the biggest in the industry. They also tend to be more vocal and passionate than male fans. I see alot more love for FemShep than I see for MaleShep. Maybe, that's a sign that there is more worth in focusing on just a female protaganist, rather than giving the option of playing a male character as well. Plus, it would do wonders for the industry and really push things forward for women in video games. On top of all that, they can use the resources they saved from scrapping the male character on other areas of the game. The end result is a more superior MEA.
