So thanks to BioFan, I went and checked on Amazon and sure enough, Mass Effect Andromeda is now available as a pre-order.  I'll admit, even though the events of ME:3 made me want to reconsider ever pre-ordering a game again, I'm pretty darn tempted after watching that last trailer.  Ryder's story, and that new Mako, just look like a ton of fun.

Yea, it started appearing for pre-order on websites around the world a few days a go. I'm just going to wait for the biggest, most expensive Collector's Edition.

Hopefully like ME3 CE. Slighty higher price, with multiple in-game bonuses (dog was a good extra) and nice artbook. No ridiculous googles, quarian masks, giant statues etc plz

As always, hold off on speculation about the release date. The last day of March is on a Friday.

I love the idea of the dog but I was not happy with how it was implemented especially since it turned out it wasn't even your dog: it belongs to someone else who left it on the ship because they could not bring it with them and they intend to come back for it. I was hoping to be able to name it and everything  :(

I'm going to wait on pre-ordering since I do that at my local Gamestop and not online.

I'd preorder now if I could get it at half-price. Since that isn't the case, I'll hold off for actual game info, and a release date. I don't even know for which platform I'll be buying, yet. Preorders are something of which I've learned to be wary.

The cover/box art is so tedious, almost making it look non-official.

On the german amazon.de, the preorder was possible since last november o0.

At least for PS4 end Xbox one. Just without a release date.

Why pre-order? You don't get the game any sooner than someone that orders from Origin on launch day.  Oh, yeah, you might get the extra damage on weapon X that lasts for two  levels.

Seriously, show EA that your wallet is worth something.

I'll probably wait until they announce the different versions and see if it's an Origin exclusive (which is will be, because FU EA.) May go for digital deluxe depending on what's actually offered. I don't hold out hope they stopped the day one DLC bullshit, but I'm going to pre-order anyway.

Time to start prepping for release day! Have to stockpile my favorite munchies and ready the hermit cave. It's never too early too early to prepare, especially for something this important.

Don't blame EA for Amazon's greed in this situation since EA or BioWare haven't announced the pre-order yet.  It is why it is for the last day of March since EA has only announced the game will be released during their fourth financial quarter of 2016.

Spoiler

If I'm honest... I'd actually love a nice statue or model. A Tempest, to go with my two Normandys, would be fantastic--I always enjoy a good spaceship. Almost bought the No Man's Sky collector's edition for that alone.

I tend not to really enjoy collector's edition in-game gear all that much; it generally  either feels like it should've been in the base game, 'cause the weapon progression is kinda messed up without it, or it's so strong as to undermine the progression curve.

The best example of this I can think of is the Fallout: New Vegas pre-order bonus gear: without it, the early game feels fantastically balanced, 'specially for such a massive open world game. You really do feel like a down-on-her-luck Courier who's finding her feet again after being left for dead. With it, though, the entire early game is trivial. It's why I tend to just not install that particular add-on when I'm starting a fresh playthrough these days.

Cool. Maybe I'll actually consider it if Bioware ever shows us official gameplay.

Still gotta wait for the annoying million pre-order DLC's. Hopefully, it's like DAI and no one has to suffer through them.

ME 3 should not be used as an excuse to prevent you from buying this game. Great to see you're preordering.

You should be able to the catch is the support available would be more limited for the operating system isn't officially supported even though there is a very high chance it will work.  That is mainly due to Microsoft stopping support and the chance a Windows update might be required to fix the problem and EA can't supply a fix.

You would be in a higher risk of not playing if Windows 10 becomes a requirement since it is the only Windows operating system right now that supports DirectX 12, but I think that would be on the system requirements.

Ugh. Same boat. I JUST upgraded from Vista and only had a copy of 7 lying around (Enterprise edition, no annoying 10 pop ups for meeee!) and don't want to get 10.
