IF they are the antagonist, it doesn't mean they aren't also fighting the Andromeda natives as well as the protagonist.

He's seen with a Krogan holding another human over a ledge. I hardly call that fighting aliens.

But, we know next to nothing, therefore, I shall wait for more info.

Welcome to the Wild Andromeda where everyone fights everyone, while locals try to understand what the hell is wrong with these invaders.

Because maybe that's not the antagonist. Or maybe he goes rogue after. Not that hard to explain, especially when we don't really know a thing.

You know nothing John Sn... BSN.

Consider that in the original trilogy Shepard not only contended with the reapers but also Cerberus and to a much lesser degree the Citadel council. Perhaps the N7 guy granted he is the antagonist goes rogue and makes life more difficult for the protagonist and co.

N7 guy is Shepard, obviously. The Krogan on the ledge wth him is clearly Grunt.

That was a joke.

A short history of N7 Guy:

- In april 2015 the survey leak said the player is the Pathfinder

- In june 2015 BioWare said you don't play as the N7 Guy

- In october 2015 the N7 Guy is described as the model for the Pathfinder

- In november 2015 the N7 Day video shows the Ryder name to the public

- In june 2016 it's confirmed we're Ryder

Theory: N7 Guy is the original Pathfinder, he's your commander. He dies really quickly. You take over command as the new Pathfinder.

Theory: N7 Guy is the original Pathfinder and Ryder's father. He dies really quickly. You follow in his footsteps.

Theory: Who ever N7 Guy is, you play him for a short while in the prologue, like in Assassin's Creed III

He may not start off as the antagonist.

- In june 2016 it's also confirmed the N7 Guy is not the player

That was confirmed in June 2015.

You will play a human, male or female, though that’s actually not the character you saw in the trailer (more on that later).

I'd say that once the Andromeda Initiative arrives to the Helios Cluster, the "military" branch goes all gunz blazin`

And you on the other hand are given command of the rest of the AI.

At the beginning is just different philosophies, after a while, **** start to get real.

ME2 marketed Legion as an antagonist, and DA2's marketing was all about ''rise to power'' while the main game was decidedly not that.

So that doesn't indicate much if you ask me. Marketing is marketing. Sometimes they even lie to preserve spoilers. Nothing new.

I'm picturing them with a pop corn box, trying to figure us out. At the end they are like "pfff, milkywayers are sooo weeeeird" :alien:  :alien:  :alien:

I'm getting a strong vibe of "now the Grey Wardens are evil" with this supposed N7 antagonist.

Meh.

It is possible he gets captured in the mission from the trailer, and after some time among the hostile aliens goes Dances With Wolves.

It could also turn out that the hostile aliens aren't the true villains, and they were justified in trying to prevent the Milky Way colonists from accessing Remnant tech.

This one is typically shorthanded as "DuncaN7." That's a DA:O reference, for those of you who haven't played it.

It would be great.

We flee from the Reaper thread.

And we get to Andromeda just to unearth some kind of Doom Machine/ wake up a new Remant Chtulhu.

All I know is if that Cerberus rumor is correct I'll be pissed. It was a horrible plot in ME3 and completely destroyed one of the coolest characters in the franchise in IM. Let that die please. No Cerberus in Andromeda.

Or we arrive in Andromeda, where they also have Reapers. But there the new cycle just began, they're only 5.000 years after the last reaping, still 45.000 years to go.

I think the guy they are holding over the ledge is male Ryder.

I don't like any of those theories and I'll laugh my a** off if the last theory turn out to be true.  One of the reasons I hated AC 3 was the fact that I couldn't keep playing as bad a** Haytham Kenway and was stuck with lame a** Connor.  Of all the games to copy, I wouldn't choose AC3.

I do like the theory of him being an antagonist.  Maybe an anti-hero type? Hopefully I get to team up with him at some point.  He's the only interesting character shown so far.
