This is a minor gripe, but I think it would be great if the News Feed only included text actually posted by people on your friends list. As it is currently, it includes the text of people they quote in replies. Since the News Feed only displays the first two lines or so of the post, those two lines will be from the quoted text rather than the actual reply.

There have been a couple times where I've had offensive posts show up in my news feed, thinking it was posted by someone I was starting to regret having added, only to find that the text was quoted when going into the thread.
