I know EA / Bio has face scanning technology. Could this "twist" be that you can
1. Scan your own face
OR
2. Import a face from another game?
Is this possibility cool ?
Could be that it is randomized.
Eh, I never design characters to look anything like me, so I'm not really fussed about the idea of face scanning. No objection to its inclusion, though, provided it doesn't take away from the CC.
Maybe it means they are not going to have any face models (like male Shepard had) and that they are going to have different custom male and female faces for promotional stuff and not a default look? Just a guess.
Maybe it's like designing your Hawke in DA2 and the siblings get some of the same features as well in extension.
Apparently there will be a family or siblings from some of what I read.
I believe this will be like Fallout where we instead of a Husband and Wife, we choose a brother and sister.
Im sure no matter which character is chosen, the sibling will match your character based on some of the traits you picked.
Perhaps, your brother/sister is the Antagonist?

What intrigues me is this "twist". You see, Bio used the word protagonists <= plural.
However, on the assumption that protagonists = two+ and that the Ryders have a family the plot could span centuries in the cluster.
For example:
1. First female protagonists wakes up on arrival. This is her story of survival and establishing a beach head.
2. 2nd protagonist could be her son... continuing mankind's struggle and "settling down" and fortifying the defenses.
I can't see any other plot twists to allow for two+ protagonists other than one dies early and is only a plot device with no game time.

Didn't they say something about siblings? Like if you choose one the other is in the game.
If you guys could give your Ryder any face using fancy-pants scanning/image import technology (I doubt that will be possible; but even so ...), which face would you choose?
Would you scan in your own face, use a celebrity's face (perhaps your fave action star), or would you still create the face yourself?

the twist is you're really a Cerberus operative sent to Andromeda to make sure humanity is the one leading the other species in Andromeda. excellent, The rest of the family members are also undercover Cerberus operatives. They too will spread the word that humanity is #1. excellent
The twist is that Ryder is a clone of Earth's greatest soldier, Big Boss Commander Shepard, because "Shepard" is the only person capable of leading such an important mission. Your so-called family are actually actors tasked with helping you realize your potential.
(I'm not sure if that's terrible, fascinating, or both.

I must say they have peaked my interest, although I don;t want to read too much into it. They only said a "bit of a twist".
Scanning tech? Maybe. I'd still do the CC, though, because I actually enjoy doing the CC. It's kind of a part of the process of me discovering who they are. It's a fluid, spontaneous type of thing. For example, when you're fiddling with scars, and all of a sudden you see it--that scar that has a story behind it.
I'm not just building a face. I'm building a character.
Beyond that Idk what it could be except something like DA2 and your family similarities.
Good lord, I hope we're not a friggin robot with humasn skin. Your default face is robot face. We're the "Ai" literallly. We are the artificial intelligence like that Being human game, or Becoming Human game in Detroit or something on PS4.

I had an idea a while back that the Ark could have been a "seeder ship" (no people on board, just memory banks of genetic data and an AI to run the ship) and that we were part of a "Pathfinder Series" of genetically modified clones.
While that idea is not gonna happen, I could see the whole "customize your family" thing being an option.

Hm...
The FemRyder has a brother or the MaleRyder has a sister? I can't see that as being two protagonists. The confusion is "protagonists" and what Bio means by that and the twist.
