The FemRyder has a brother or the MaleRyder has a sister? I can't see that as being two protagonists. The confusion is "protagonists" and what Bio means by that and the twist.

For me it means intersecting paths. Think Warlords BattleCry or more likely the way FF did it in the 90s.

Dream sequences? Maybe. Visions? Possible.

Or are we arriving in the aftermath & while the protag investigates in game; we take control of SibRyder and act out what happened?

If you guys could give your Ryder any face using fancy-pants scanning/image import technology (I doubt that will be possible; but even so ...), which face would you choose?

Would you scan in your own face, use a celebrity's face (perhaps your fave action star), or would you still create the face yourself? 

 

Scan a picture of ex girlfriend and cry.

 

Then scan picture of failed crush, cry.

 

Give up scanning and use the sliders like always.

Yeah, count me among those who aren't terribly excited about face scanning. I'll never do that, so it would be a completely unused feature for me.

In any case the only time I used the default face in a Bioware game was for fem Hawke

Well, a lot of people have problems to create decent looking faces with the character creator, so I think it'd be a nice feature to scan faces as long as it's optional. But I think they meant that we play as one gender and the other gender is our brother/sister and his/heer face will have similar features to ours.

Apparently there will be a family or siblings from some of what I read. 

 

I believe this will be like Fallout where we instead of a Husband and Wife, we choose a brother and sister. 

 

Im sure no matter which character is chosen, the sibling will match your character based on some of the traits you picked.

 

Perhaps, your brother/sister is the Antagonist?

 

 

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a family thing of some sort in Andromeda.

my avatar says it at all, I'm really good at making faces in whatever games CC (save for vanilla oblivion, nothing can be done there lol) so if it is face scanning, im not a huge fan of that and I to hope it doesn't weaken the CC.

If it is this,  I won't use it unless for comedic effect,  how ludicrous it would be to see myself save the universe. If they do have scanned faces, I hope it doesn't impact on facial expressions.

So what else could it be?

I wouldn't mind a randomized protagonist ala the "Rust" game,  but I doubt the Bioware community would.

I know EA / Bio has face scanning technology. Could this "twist" be that you can

1. Scan your own face

2. Import a face from another game?

Face scans would be awesome. Import from another game is nigh impossible as it isn't standardized, unless you mean import from ME1/2/3 which wouldn't make much sense anyway.

 

I think the 'twist' is just marketing lingo for not finalized yet.

Yeah, I didn't like that binary option either. What a waste. I wanted both sisters to be mages. In any case, Carver was a whiner and good riddance.
