I'd take what they did with DAI over what they are doing with MEA any day.
What's the difference? Or rather, why does the difference matter?
I'd take what they did with DAI over what they are doing with MEA any day.
At least with DAI we saw some actual gameplay when they were marketing it and showing demos. What they need to realize is the earlier they show gameplay footage the more time they will have to respond to feedback and make adjustments.
The problem with this, is that the gameplay that was in the E3 of DA:I has really different when it come to the final game. It was a downgrade for most people but technical demos are not the final product. Maybe they want to avoid the ubisoft effect.
They say they'll show a lot this N7 Day.
Then again they said they would show a lot at EA Play and yet did not. Or the previous N7 Day and yet did not.
Honestly, I've been through quite a few N7 days... And I'll say this. It's never quite what you expect. Of course, it's all because N7 day isn't a real holiday number one, and number two, because there's nothing else near it. No conventions, no gaming conferences, etc. Nothing to beat the hype drum. They might show us a bit of gameplay. But hell, I'm willing to take just that.
I'll still be sitting there with my N7 sweatshirt on.
IIRC, EA and their Star Wars presentation was very similar to ME in that it was some BTS type of thing. Perhaps it was a stylistic choice by someone at EA.
I heard EA's presentation was fairly lackluster overall. I didn't watch it because I don't like any of their other games. The...Madden; Fifa; Racing thing; Titanfall.
I wish they'd "diversify their portfolio" much, much more.
Why? I want more info just as much as the next person but I don't want to know every single thing yet. Or do you not like surprises?I'd take what they did with DAI over what they are doing with MEA any day.
