Well I decided to start my insanity playthrough... in ME3, When I started earth I thought there was something wrong, Enemies died waaay to quickly, Now I am in grissom academy and my M44 suppressor kills the ATLAS in like 10 shots wtf, Right now Phantoms are the only enemy that oppose any REAL threat... And banshees i guess
Insanity is disgustinly easy?

Try ME3MP now. ![]()
Platinum is significantly harder than Insanity. (By a few orders of magnitude if you're trying to solo it.)

The game wasn't quite as easy at release. Basically three things hurt the SP mode:
1. DLC guns were introduced and nearly all of them are much stronger than the MP versions. For reference SP Suppressor:
- Damage: 383.3 - 412.2
- ROF: 600rpm
- Burst DPS X: 4122
- Headshot Multiplier: 4x
2. Changes were patched in for combos so that Fire Explosions and Cryo Explosions could occur without target death, which allowed all combos to be spammable.
3. Last patch brought some MP balance changes into SP. This buffed a lot of weapons and some powers. Unfortunately, they did not buff Insanity HP pools or other enemy attributes. At release, Gold and Insanity had more or less identical enemy stats, but they diverged with balance changes.
Anyway if the game is way too easy the first thing I would try is avoiding any DLC guns. If that is still too easy for you, you might just have to gimp your powerset. Otherwise you would need to mod / edit coalesced.

This is funny, just finished my insanity run yesterday. Was something I'd been putting off since I'm not a strong gamer. It was actually shockingly easy. Sentinel, with Liara and Kaiden whenever possible. Never fired a shot on the last level, just melted things with biotics. Probably should have gotten a weaker party. Died less than a dozen times the whole game, multi-player really helped me learn the mechanics of the game.

On Wii U, none of the buff patches made it but the game was still pitifully easy (even without those fancy DLC weapons). It is easy. FACT. ![]()

I did my Insanity run as last with an Infiltrator and playing a very Renegade Shepard who had only 5 squadmates (Garrus and Tali died during the Suicide Mission).
Luckily one of them was Kaidan, so I was running with him and Javik for most of my playthrough.
I think it was easier than I expected and way easier than Hard in ME2 (I still have to do it in ME1)... But I must say that I spent quite some money on upgrades and equipment, but I was very happy and probably now I will always play Insanity also in the next playthroughs.

Are you playing on NG+? You can't get Suppressor that early in the game unless its from a previous play. NG+ Insanity is notably easier than NG Insanity.

What's weird is that I recently played single player after months and months of MP only and I felt like single-player was harder than gold. For some reason every cerberus trooper bullet pierces even more painfully... maybe it's to do with that slo-mo that happens when you get hit in SP.

Shepard has less shields and health than a lot of characters in MP and doesn't get to increase his shields by 100-150% with Cyclonic Modulators.

It was only hard for me at first.. when I had a fresh soldier and didn't know the maps. But even then, it got easy within that same playthrough. The best level as a noob was grissom, but it got weak from there.

It is easy to get OP in ME3, easier than in ME1 and ME2. Still, with a few limitations, you can end up with builds that are fun and reasonably challenging on Insanity. The fast pace of ME3 gameplay does help with that as well. I find that limiting yourself to two castable powers brings balance to the game. It also helps with the pace since you can quickly use those powers without pausing the game. On PC we get more hotkeys than two but I prefer to map squadmate powers to those slots.
I only played a soldier. It was still easy.
I think the ease lies in the level designs..not a fault of the classes. That's why I only think Grissom sort of stands out. That was cool, for the most part. I think ME2 had more situations like that, where you got swarmed in tight spots.
I think ME1 was the hardest of the bunch, but I'll still take this... ME1 levels were atrocious (if they can be called levels).
