Remember when Annomander made a mod that gave you a headshot medal for 25, 50 and 75 headshots? ![]()
I'm a console player but I don't see the harm in it; as long as it doesn't interfere with players who want to play the game normally, go crazy.

I would be in favour of modding but it's Frostbite and EA, so modding support is not going to happen regardless.
The issue with frostbite is its middleware, take that out of the equation and the engine is no more or less moddable than other games. Apparently thats a step EA has taken at least in some part. But yes, sadly, I fear MEA will have no mod support. Maybe the next installment though.
Remember, for DAO, BioWare actually hosted mods here. That was originally what BSN was for; we could collaborate on projects and create our own subforums. It was a terrific idea for empowering gamers.Per Nexus:
DAO 2304 files, 29.11 million unique downloads.
DAI 1133 files, 3.86 million dls.
DA2 1038 files, 8.8 million dls.
For comparison Skyrim, 47751 files, 933.18 million dls.
Someone even recreated the intro to BG2 using the DAO modkit.
Any chance you still have a link to that?
Because he hasn't thought through his position. Why would any player be against modding (at least in SP)?

I chose nexus solely because it does provide some statistics.

I wondered that myself. Some posts over on the Bethesda forums just made me want to kill myself. After neutering some posters first though.
I am gonna wait and see what the game looks and plays like in it's entirety before I even start adding mods to the game. I like playing modded games.
