The N7 guy is an anti-hero. They will be your brother/sister, whichever you don't choose to play as. The sibling that has always been more successful while you are just a lowly explorer blah blah blah.

You two have a falling out because he/she wants the mission to go down a more bloody path. N7 guy leaves and forms his own sqaud. You run into them a few times while trying to redeem your sibling. In the end he/she helps you defeat the enemy and then disappears.

Well the song is about the wild hunt that they said was plot relevant (Johnny Cash song). So my theories stem from that but who knows. :)

Seems a bad idea in terms of genetics to send close relatives. You want to maximize genetic diversity in as extreme a bottleneck event as the ark.

I think the N7 is just your sibling's XO or whatever, and you are on another ark or whatnot.
The N7 then kills your sibsib, or leaves them for ded. Your sib reveals N7's evil plot, and the adventure continues!

Wouldn't that depends on how many were sent?

That's unrealistic - they aren't going to send a bunch of randoms/morons (generally unstable people!) to Andromeda and let them run wild, no:

There will be a chain of command IMHO so anybody not following orders has basically turned rogue! (Note: This is necessary, there isn't an abundance of people on this mission so everybody has to do their job at least till colonies have been established and some industry, military etc. has been established!)

ps: If he's your sibling he might be more successful at the start, but I bet that'll change soon (maybe he royally fucks up and that changes his perspective?)

pps: Still against this whole family BS (sorry: Family stories belong in soaps/sitcoms - not in good science fiction (at least not as part of the main story - so you can decide not to do the family related stuff...maybe you are estranged?)

Can I do a playthrough where I do the "rogue" N7 character storyarc?  That would be a fun...and take sibling rivalry to a whole new level.

You ask "will the N7 guy be the enemy or will he be your sibling and help you in the end?" The answer is "YES!!!"

Krogans are going so they must be sending unstable people.

So this is Speed Racer, where Joe N7 is in the infamous role of Racer X.

I'm okay with this.

Here's what I think, we'll see. :) Seriously though if it is as you say I will gut everyone on the development team. Predator style. I don't want to role play a *****. I want to be a bad@$$!!!!!! Not a quarian with a tummy ache.

N7 guy + Cerberus ==  bad guy.  I don't think it's gonna be that cut and dried though.

Anti-heroes in any fictional work where you play as the protag is bad.

The anti-hero is always cooler than the protag.

Im fine with family for my character, so long as they give me a reason to get attached, then kill them off to give me character development into a cold renegade who does whatever it takes to get a mission done, (sacrificing civs without a care) or gives my character a conviction to simply be a paragon hero, (idk, im just typing this on the fly)

I sure hope this isn't how it goes down otherwise it will be terrible. Being honest, this idea sounds bad to me. I hope it's not true. It almost seems like a cheap way for Bioware to give shock value at some point. However, I will say that's something that can be very well designed but they better allow the player to grow a relationship with their sibling otherwise it's a soulless attempt at trying to surprise the player.

If the player has a deep relationship with them and at some point they have a fallout event and then your sibling just turns into a very grey lined character I think that can be cool. Just the pure black and white siblings would be silly, IMO. So what would it be then you have a good twin and evil twin? So many ways this could be fail on epic levels but I can also see it going a good direction too.

Bioware's recent projects don't have me optimistic though, sadly. DAI had horrible villain design. Something so significant in the lore felt like he was a complete background character through the game. Worst part is the beginning at Haven when he attacked I was like dang it's all about to go down now and live up to his reputation...then he disappears until like the last 5% of the game. Saren was also a weak villain and the Reapers were in the background almost the entire franchise even in ME3.

Nah. We'll think that N7 guy is our sibling, but once he removes his helmet, it'll be DIO BRANDO!

A wild Liara appeared!
Bioware used "make character likable"
It has no effect!
Liara used "annoy"
Its super effective!
