What's your definition of a "boss type enemy"?
Liara's mama
Thorian Creeper
Warden
Kai Leng
etc
Yes. Speaking of Liara's mom why can't we have an Asari matriarch on our team to romance? They given us young @$$ asari. At least 400 years old or more. Mature Asari. Come on bioware!

I've said this before, but I want a boss like the clone. That was the coolest fight in the game. I love how the fight changed depending on your class. If you are an infiltrator the clone cloaks, sneaks up on you, and you engage in an omni-blade fight. It's so awesome!

The clone ended up being the most annoying enemy I've ever faced. Because being a Vanguard of course she had to copy me, all the time... I hardly had time to react before she charged me, over and over again.
I hated and loved her for that. I was so sad she choose death rather than to fight with me against the reapers.

I always happily threw mine off MY ship... There's only one Shepard. Then I usually let my LI shoot Maya in the back (although I also loved Shepard's line when he shot her himself).
I too would like boss enemies as long as they are an interesting fight and not bullet sponges.
Definitely no bullet sponge type bosses that would be over the top annoying. Bosses should be challenging with there own set of abilities or heavy weaponry.
They should definitely be challenging in Normal and above game play. Fighting the pseudo-Reaper in ME2, even on a hard mode was relatively easy. RAMM from Gears of War is really good example of boss enemy. He never lets up on the attack, so you have to be smart in your approach to beating him, especially on hard or insane mode.
code?Because there was only the code.
code?
code?
He's referring to Samara. She was also a mature Asari.
Only if they're done right. ME1 did it right, ME2 had decent ones as well. **** Kai Leng.

Only where they make sense (like the Thorian, the Thresher Maw on Grunts coming of age ceremony or fighting a Reaper on foot!), but people (like Kai Leng) shouldn't be bosses (if he's so tough, what's stopping me from taking his armor etc. and make myself just as tough?)...unique ones should be harder to kill (but not bullet-sponges) and dodge attacks, use cover better than normal thugs and have better weapons, but that's it (note: I hated how they made Tela Vasir a boss...she's "just an Asari" (as in: Sure she's a SPECTER, but so's Shepard!) and we've been killing a lot of them before her!)

As long as the Kai Leng analog does not have 3 lives. Poor game design.

Hmm. No. No, I don't think so.
Krogan Battlemaster? I remember that being a little more frustrating than fun. The Thorian? Shooting at giant nodes, while being thrown on my a** by biotics and puked on was so. much. fun. Let's not forget Benezia! Her ability to open doors for her henchmen was so intimidating! Oh, OH! AND SAREN? Basically, literally a remodeled Geth hopper. That shot a barrage of rockets.
Look, all of these bosses were great at a thematic standpoint. I don't want to seem like I dislike Mass Effect. But when it came to gameplay, they were all... kinda... eh. Sorry.
Not saying Andromeda shouldn't have bosses. In fact, I'm all for it. As long as each boss is unique, feels fair, and isn't a complete gimmick, then everything should turn out just fine probably.
As long as they aren't just larger HP pools, sure.

Oh crap, I'd forgotten about that in ME1 ... the worst thing about that whole fight was that, if you mucked up, it restarted from the bottom of the elevator with all the conversation to go through each time ![]()

And in case anyone was wondering, I'm pro-boss.

I think elite enemies should be mixed in throughout the game, and then encounters with a "boss" should include other enemies. They mostly did this in the trilogy, with the exception of Kai Leng on Thessia. Reaper at the end of ME2 likes to kill his own units and was vulnerable to heavy weapons... would have been harder if he didn't.
