I heard that you can find someone in the game to feed the fish, they keep dying on me even when i think i've fed them enough  . . .who can I get to feed them? I hear that the assistant next to the galaxy map can take care of it but I never see any options that allow me to ask her to tend to them.

plz my fish are dying  . . . . lol

and the Space hamster is awesome, I don't know if anyone noticed but that little guy's cage does not have a water bottle, he must be a robot! 0_0

You have to feed them pretty much every time you finish a quest, even side-quests. If you get friendly with Kelly and have dinner with her, she'll offer to feed your fish, but it's possibly bugged in the PC version... I asked her to take care of my fish, and they were dead the next time I went up to my cabin (after doing two or three quests).

yeah I guess I have not done enough of the main story to open that dialougue yet, i have the 360 version but I guess I need to advance in the story to talk to her more . . .which i have not been doing too much consideing my 18+ hrs of game time is mostly doing scanning and a few side quests lol

yeah they die, real fast for me

I like feed the fish, I go down a floor in the normandy talk to someone, and go back to the cabin . . dead Fish, ok rofl not that fast but it seems that way sometimes lol

at least the space hamster is invincible, he needs to be on the team, his cage doesn't even have a water bottle lol

Your fish are either bugged, you've been feeding them more often than you think, or you had dinner with Kelly and agreed to her offer to keep your fish alive and just don't remember. Or maybe there's a species of fish you can buy that only needs to be fed once a decade, I dunno. I just know that you're supposed to feed them after every mission, or you can miss maybe one or two, but after three missions they died on me.

I'll have to check it tonight, I didn't know they died!!! I went to the Citadel after I got the professor and archangel to join me, and bought the fish. Since then Jack, Zaeed, and Grunt have joined me. I have done 3-4 side quests and I saved the Colony. I have talked to Kelly, but I've kept it at a work relationship level. I can't remember when I last went to my quarters, but I know they were still alive last time I checked... I hope they didn't die.



How "friendly" do I have to get with Kelly to have dinner and have her feed the fish? I'm playing my imported char that is Paragon and romantically involved with Liara, so I don't want to mess things up with Liara

How do you get Kelly to the point where she will do this? I am almost finished all the loyalty missions, and I've talked to her dozens of times. What am I missing?

the one over at illium ain't that cheap if you gotta rebuy it a few times! I know! (stupid forgetting to feed bloody fishes...)

She can't cook the space hamster! that thing is invincible I tell you! no water bottle in the cage, it has to be a robot, it might be a secret weapon to destroy the reapers for all we know lol

Had my fish die - 2 batches so far. Just have to see if they survive now that Kelly has agreed to feed my fish. They do seem to die too easily and considering that to a large extent going to yoru cabin is not something that needs to be done that often its a bit of a mess. They could have at least had a codex entry on the care and feeding of fish.

I never had a feeding the fish option, why is that? Is this the PC version we're talking about?



I did have Kelly offer to feed my fish though, I just didn't pay attention the tank to be completely honest.

I know for the 360 version there is a button on the wall that lets food go into the tank to feed them, check your captains cabin and look near the glass where the fish are in, button should be on the wall =)

I was clicking the button anyway, but I didn't know you had to do it to keep them alive.

And yes, I have become quite fond of the little space hamster. The squeak is so cute! <3
It's a shame I can't take the critter out and play with her or him.

I'd totally love to have Bobo the space hamster! Death by cuteness!
