You have to feed the fish?

I was clicking the button anyway, but I didn't know you had to do it to keep them alive.

And yes, I have become quite fond of the little space hamster. The squeak is so cute! <3
It's a shame I can't take the critter out and play with her or him.

I'd totally love to have Bobo the space hamster! Death by cuteness! :P

lol you have accidentally been keeping the fish alive, thats awesome ^_^

but yes, they can die if you don't press the button like a madman, i know -_-

They could have at least had a codex entry on the care and feeding of fish.

They really should have!! Or at least a book you could buy that would have given you the codex update. I mean if I can buy a trashy alien porn mag, then I should be able to read about how to take care of fish!

Rule 1 in that book:

Don't let Grunt eat the fish!

I bought the novels (nice touch, putting the books from the game into the game!), but I don't know where they went.

How many fish types have you folks found so far? I've seen 3 - 1 from Illium, 2 from Citadel.

I didn't know there were two places you could buy fish, maybe the ones I am buying from the store i know of on the citadel are messed up :?

Yeah there's 3 types of fish so far - these small pack fish like tetras, then some angel-fish looking ones - both from Citadel. Then you get the Illium fish too from the "Memories of Illium" store.

Fish feeding is the one thing I dont like about the Normandy SR2, you would think such an advanced ship would have at least an automated fish feeder.

Ya, we have an AI who can wage bloody cyber-warfare, but is incapable of dropping in a few flakes of fish food?

I don't get it, you buy Illium Skald fish on the Citadel, as well as the schooling fish. What do you get from Illium? An elusive Citadel  Presidium fish?

Also, the Illium Skald fish are oversized betta splendens- AKA the Siamese Fighting Fish.

I believe the space hamster is an easter egg reference to Minsc and Boo from the Baldur's Gate series. Minsc was a crazy man who had a companion named "Boo." He often said that Boo was a giant hamster from space. And Boo would always cheerfully chirp in its hamster voice in response.

Boo wasn't a giant hamster from space, he was a miniature giant space hamster.

(As is the ME2 space hamster, apparently.)

Full sized space hamsters ARE giant.

No because I thought it was stupid how I couldn't keep the fish alive either. I thought it was jacked decision by Bioware. There's no real intervals to keeping them alive, you have to feed them EVERY single time you're on the ship, I never went to that much trouble for no reward, so thank goodness someone figured you you can get someone else to feed them.

Does the relationship with her effect your love interest?

it's in one of the shops. On the planet Liara is on I think. It's kind of tucked away.

and IIRC, there were some implications that Boo actually was, in fact, a miniature giant space hamster and that Minsc was correct

there was definitely some confirmation somewhere that normal giant space hamsters existed...

It shows that the generation that played the classic RPGs has pretty much passed away.

I haven't even seen one person mentioned how Tali's relationship with her pet attack-drone is a direcr nod to Minsc and Boo.

"Go for the optics! Go for the optics!"

*sigh*

It's sad when your only 21 and people make you feel old.

im only 19, I was lucky enough to be born in such a time where I was able to see and play ALL the classics. My first computer was DOS, so I even got to play the best it had to offer. I dont care about graphics, I care about gameplay and story.

Thats why I dont get why the **** crysis gets marked so well everywhere. its **** o-o
