With DAI, ignoring any SJW agenda, perceived or not.

On PC with mouse and keyboard, I nearly rage quit after half an hour because of how bad the controls were.

The main story is very short and has a cliffhangerish finish which is only resolved by buying the Trespasser DLC.

The world itself is very beautiful, but is very heavy on filler content which is problematic due to the short story. If there was a meatier main story and some more substantial  side quests,  then it would have been fine.

There were other problems, but these to me are the major gaming issues.

**** i still have all the DLCs to play for DAI lol

The shiny hairs problems was more about Bioware screwing up badly the hairs in DAI. Even on high-end PC hairs are pretty bad. It's jarring compared to the rest of the character's appearance.

I do agree that they should've improved on using the Frosbite. Though expecially on hairs, I'll hold my expectations pretty low.

The textures on characters were very poor outside of cut scenes as well. Not developing for xbox 360 and PS2 hopefully means this is improved.

I'm just hoping that everything works this time. I don't mind minor bugs and glitches like PC starting to moonwalk- but game-breaking and persistent one's I do mind. Luckily my expectations after DAI aren't exactly high.

lol,  I actually liked the first one,  they got better at a balance of story and meaty side quest / filler ratio in an open world

2nd one was back to good ol' corridors and likable if your a lore hound, I thought it was loony tunes.

3rd one you should play to get an ending. It was mostly good but back to corridors.  I hated it because by that stage,  I'd played a different outstanding open world game and paying for a proper ending to the game was/is just an insult.

And maybe other people have other issues with the game because for instance i hear a lot of people who really hate the ending of ME 3 but there are also people that didn't mind the "bad" ending so much.

I didn't know if you were referring to not having finished the DA series or the ME series,  I assumed DA so posted that.

Apart from the ending, I liked ME3 more than the other 2.

I just hope that we dont get the freaking glitchy lag or invisible load screens

And i thought you were talking about the ME series but i only played DA I i have not played DA O and DA 2 yet. And with the ME series it's only ME 1 but i have not yet finished that one yet. I'm still far behind the rest of you.

And i have talked to people who favor the other ones more.

Womens in the game are treated with much more respect in their representation as opposed to what we saw in Mass Effect, where an entire race was invented to appease sexists and misogynists.

Yeah, the Krogan were pretty embarrassing that way, but sex sells.

That's the problem: The interesting lore and story happens in a DLC - the main-story is boring -.- (with very few exceptions....the Winter Palace stuff was well done IMHO)...

And that's my personal beef. A cookie cutter rip from the game and made into a DLC.  DA:I is, to me, a perfect example.  The so called  Corypheus Boss fight turned out to flash and sputter out in the end of the main game, yet became a Big Bad in the DLC which really completes his story arc. That is, if C was left in the main game then his fighting evolution as you progressed through the game makes sense.

And they gave up on the open world aspect as well.  Was that an admission from Bioware that DAI was a failure?

The cost of filling the open world with worthwhile content was probably computed to be too high. There is a big cost difference between "put 12 Shards and 20 loot chests and make sure the loot chest contain crap loot anywhere in the open world and oh, add another 10 meaningless quests" vs creat 20 additional Quests that moves the main story forward.

Now ME:A is supposed to have large planet areas to explore but also "tons of things to do" (shinobi).  I can't think of anything, unless there are bars, clubs, combat arenas, beaches, Pearls of Pleasure... etc. Still, even with this, I can't see too many of them in 100+ planets to explore.

Do you mean in the DLC apart from the first?  If that's he case, it could have been added into an existing zone.

Anyway, I just felt it odd to change back to corridor world in the dlc.  I guess the 2nd (can't even remember the name of it. lol) had to be as it was underground,  but why Trespasser, especially after dropping previous gen consoles? A rhetoric question.

MEA is open world,  so they haven't given up on the concept.  Let's hope they fill the world with lots and lots of story and side story.

DAI is the first game I haven't finished all the DLC yet. Lost interests. Terrible quests designed, intentionally inflate the game time like finding those impossible shards instead of engaging them to make them spend more hours in quests. There are too much preaching going on in the game for my liking. Instead of adding characters that happen to be minority, they add minorities specifically in the story and make those characters stand out by pointing out how different they are. The story is too short. Bioware game is the story, not open world or side quests with no storyline. The quests themselves are not interesting, need more interesting or even fun quests like Fallout 4's Silver Shroud or some of the more light hearted Witcher 3's quests.

I agree with some of the shards though especially the one in the Hinterlands.
