Shepard has no reason to go to Andromeda if it were post-Destroy.

It's heavily implied that the ark left before ME3's ending, which means that Shepard could not have been on it.

The whole point of them taking the story to Andromeda is to get away from the original trilogy and having to acknowledge the wildly divergent paths we can take in Mass Effect 3.

 

Why would they throw that away by including Shep in the game?

According to recent interviews, BioWare are repeating their assertions that they have no intention of making any single ME3 canon.  So, no - they are not going to say or imply in any way that Shepard is transported to Andromeda if he/she destroys the Reapers.

PLEASE: STOP IT - sorry, but this attachment to what basically amounts to an AVATAR (Shepard is basically the player after all, he doesn't have all that much background story after all!) is seriously beginning to ****** me off (Shepard this, Shepard that, "I want Shepard back", "Why do you change the protagonist Bioware?" etc. is really going on my nerves!), it's not like the new protagonist is so different (still N7, still any class you want to play (unless they ditch the class system...something I'd hope for, but I guess not!), still human, still changeable to how you like your character to look etc.)

 

I mean I can understand it if someone misses Tali, Wrex, Garrus, Liara etc. etc. but Shepard? Come on, you can't miss yourself, you are still there!

It's just not possible when the Crucible/Citadel were completely destroyed!

The Citadel wasn't destroyed. The Wards separate, but they float away relatively intact, and are reattached and repaired later. The structure Shepard was in doesn't disintegrate or anything.

I thought you guys said that tweets and such aren't the same proof as in-game evidence. Least that's what some people told me when I tried to use a BW tweet as confirmation of something.

Yeah and Shepard had three games.  I would rather start with someone fresh since they are doing everything else fresh anyway with a whole new galaxy.  It is ridiculous how people can't let go of their old protagonists.   To this day in the DA forums you will still see people saying they want their old wardens back.
