A fully functional Android who plays some kind of musical instrument in his off time, like Data from Star Trek, “I chose to believe that I was a person, that I had the potential to become more than a collection of circuits and sub-processors.” – Data, 2369 (“Rightful Heir”) I could work with that. Wouldn't miss it if they don't include something like this, but I could come up with a character that appreciates his personality and any extra benefits that come with it.

My hubby's body is a furnace and I hate cuddling him for it. So somewhere in the middle would be nice, Space is cold anyway.....a cold robot would hardly cause a fuss.

Hmm, there is Al romance thread somewhere already, but with the amount of new threads happening it can be quite deep.
It's not bad idea, relationships between humans and robots/synthetics/AI's etc. are pretty common in scifi. Just make synthetic LI a person and not an object and it's all good.

Don't you just have experience of fictional synthetic characters either from games, tv series, movies, comics, books - Like Bicentennial Man, Star Trek's Data, Marvel's Vision, Bioware's EDI, Fallout 4's dozen characters- some LIs- etc. - or are you simply making vibrator jokes for fun? I'm not sure ^^;
