How do you Roleplay your Inquisitors?

I do a bit of #2 when I start a playthrough for the very first time, and then I stick with #1 afterwards. I never go full backstory such as adding family members or reflecting on past relationships I tend to stick with the boundaries the game gives me. Such as whether my Inquisitor was a full supporter of the Circle or if he/she was close to the clan they were raised in growing up Dalish.

As far as it was concerned though BioWare did mention that the Inquisitor did have a family.  It was only up to the player to define that relationship...as we got the opportunity to do so in the game.  This is one of the times that the game actually added in enough detail where you could base an entire character around those events.  Like my Shepard's...very extensive head canon...all stemmed from events that were mentioned in the game, and in Shepard's back story that you are given the option of choosing from.
