I'm fairly new to this forum, but I've been thinking about this a lot. Which races do you think bioware will leave out of Andromeda? From trailers and bioware themselves they've confirmed races like Asari,Krogan,Solarians, and Turians will be returning along with new alien species. Though what about less important races like Batarians, Volus, Elcor, ect.? I highly doubt bioware will be bringing back every race from the original trilogy, so what races do you all think will be left out of Andromeda?
Which races do you think will NOT be in Andromeda?

I've been reading a few threads on this topic and I still can't see why other races would be left out. Even the Quarians. IIRC, not all of the Quarians in the galaxy made it back to the Flotilla when they were out on pilgrimage. So some could have made it to the Ark and got into cryo sleep. Your Mileage May Vary, of course.
Oh and welcome to the forums. Enjoy, if you can.

I would not expect to see:
- Hanar
- Elcor
- Vorcha
- Batarians
There will be new races to add to the mix, after all...

I'm afraid that they will just stop at council races + Krogan, would be easier for them to do, less new models, reworking alien races and so on. But I sure hope that isn't the case.
My favorites are Drells and I'd love to hear more of them. I feel like we have just got really small glimpse on what their race is. It's all from Thane after all, I'd like to have second opinion at least. Then I'd like to see Batarians in the Arc, I think their conflict with humans might bring interesting stories to tell. Then not quite a race, but would love to see Geth with us as well.

Drell
Geth

Vorcha, Geth, and Rachni.
Races that may or may not be in Andromeda would be the Batarians, Quarians, and Drell.

Depends a bit on when they are sent off.
If it's before the ME3 culmination then the Geth and Quarians might be excluded since they were at war with each other.
If the Drell are in then I'd make a guess that the Hanar could be too.
Otherwise I'm not sure if Bioware would bother with all the races, perhaps just the ones that had embassies in the council plus the Krogan. Given what happened to the Batarians I'd almost bet they are not in as well, and the vorcha were just a gimmick anyway, although there were hints from the DLC that they had been attempted to be "domesticated," so maybe they could be in the game as the Arks "keepers"
Also I've always hoped that the Raloi would be in the game at some point.

Vorcha, Raloi, and Yahg are slim to none as they are pre-space flight.
Drell, Geth, and Rachni are very unlikely because of their low viability for an Ark project.
Volus, Hanar and Elcor are unlikely just due to the fact they are substantially lower return of investment in terms of art hours.
Batarians are at a neutral level because they were originally essential to the game and are viable Ark targets, their poor political clout combined with their hatred of Humans leads to a big problem for them though (mind you Krogans are included so anything is possible).
Quarians are likely, because they are both popular, good Ark candidates and experts on inhabiting space shuttles, I'd be surprised if they weren't in the game.
And finally since I've not heard that Turians are officially in I'd say they are all but guaranteed to be included, the game's prospects would be very grim if they were cut.

I think the Geth and Vorcha won't be around for sure.
Expecting most of the minor races to get cut: Quarians, Batarians, Drells, etc

Would be cool if we had a prologue mission that is before we take off in the Ark Ships to Andromeda to show how the Trilogy somewhat affected the vessels taking off at first. But like many said, don't know if they would want to put art investment to original trilogy aliens just for a cool prologue lol.

Plus, didn't these races get hit the hardest? Batarians' home world was obliterated by the Reapers, and doesn't the Elcor ambassador say Dakuuna burns, and only a few if no no evac ships made it. Hanar I'm unsure of, they're squishy. Vorcha I'm also unsure of because they breed like rats, and it's possible like rats they'll sneak on to the ark ships. I'd say Hanar, Elcor, Geth, and Batarians will now show.

Batarians
Hanar
Elcor
Volus
There's also a high probability we won't see Quarians, sadly.
Someone mentioned Yagh , but I thought I saw Yagh in the trailer?

Races I'd like to see return: Drell, Krogan (males), Salarians, Turians (females)
2 out of 4 have been achieved.
Since Quarians seem to be cut. How much work would it take to create only a handful of Drells for the game?

I don't mind if most the minor races won't be in the game.
How I'd write it bring the 4 major races and 1 or 2 niche races. Cutting the other aliens increases the team's focus on developing new alien races in Andromeda.
It's an exploration. We're supposed to discover new groups of people.

That was some type of enemy that has some red and green glow to it. It looks a lot like a Yagh, but I'm not sure. I kinda doubt it, but we're in "wait and see" mode.

Looked bigger than a Yagh.
They're about the size of a Brute. That alien creature was buffer.

This is my thought too.. Batarians are pretty much wiped out at the start of the game, and those left are probably killed after the reapers took the citadel. (yeah all those people on the citadel you helped during the game, all dead O_o but I digress.)
Geth won't be there, they are stronger together, and wouldn't likely split off like that.

Probably some Andromedon native species.
