I started playing multiplayer a couple weeks ago, and there were always plenty of people playing. Then last week I downloaded all 5 free multiplayer expansion dlc's (reckoning, retaliation, earth, rebellion, resurgence), and I've only found one person playing at a time. What gives? Do most people not know about the dlc? Or is there one I'm missing still that I'm unaware of?

I once DL this so call DLC content and suddenly my surprise the game was filled with Pugs!!!
They spam Dark Channel so much my ears hurt and then they use those TGI kits that overload my Warp and AIU use those Reegar 1 with Explosive rounds!

Plenty of people still play. Check if you truly have downloaded all the free MP DLC (sometimes Origin puts them in the queue, but it doesn't download some), or if you have the "version 1.6" issue (link).

The Downloadable Content xbox live menu in the game shows check marks on all the aforementioned dlc packs. I could try downloading them again. But as of now, nobody else seems to be playing. Wat da problem is?

I think the most puzzling thing of all is that you managed to find anyone at all when not having the DLCs installed, guess this says a thing or two about the average pug

You'd be surprised. There are always a couple of PUGs available if I go back in time, rename all DLCs to buy the good stuff from RNG and play a match or two on original White and Glacier. Mostly on bronze that is, but I had a full gold lobby once or twice.
