I thought the ship raids in part 1 and 2 were the best.

Stuff like defending outposts etc. and tracking down the course of attacks, maybe even some detective stuff (missing equipment, faked logs, even murder investigations etc.) and I'd love elaborate quest chains (stuff with diplomacy, research into new gear etc.)
Oh: As few fetch-quests (without dialogue, lore etc.) as possible (like those shards in DA:I *shudder* that was weake quest desing...probably hired a guy who worked on MMOs before for that one IMHO!)
Blast every star brat into space dust.
building a team of allies, combat against unknown alien species to conquer the planets, investigate differnet planets and environments to set up camp , attacking alien ships, missions like me1 and 2, with that element of uncertainty added by this new unknown galaxy and the misteries it holds
maybe investigating and dealing with a superior ancient threat in this galaxy? something equivalent to the reapers? unlikely, but interesting
I want a lot more mission-chains. As in doing Mission A opens up Mission B, which can lead to Mission C or D depending on how you resolve it.
I want faction-related missions (with the option to join factions, or battle against them). Something like what TES: Skyrim had, where there were whole plot-lines embedded into each faction, with new dialogue/equipment/etc exclusive to joining that faction.
I want divide and conquer missions, in which you must obtain control of planets or systems. And it's up to you whether or not you wish to play out the mission in a more diplomatic way, or a more tyrannical way.
I want more than one companion mission per character. Maybe having different missions depending on how you interact with that character. (ie. Being nice to them opens up Mission X, being rude opens up Mission Y, or being indifferent opens up XY, etc..) I'd like for these missions to really affect your companions, and have them go through a lot of growth.
I want small insignificant seeming missions that end up having major consequences depending on if/how they're done.
I want a lot of things (apparently), but I'll be surprised if I get any of them.
I'd like to see some more non-combat-oriented missions, kinda like the beginning of Kasumi's loyalty mission in ME2. I don't think ME2 always got this kind of thing to go perfectly well (I'm thinking of that sequence on Thane's mission where you just follow some dude around and press space bar every so often), but if they do get it right, it would be a good way to add some variety to the game IMHO.
I want the missions to be not to long and that there are just more missions to get to the final goal. And i also want a lot of side quests short middle longer and maybe one that's just very long.
Mission impossible, preferably if you can play as a 4'10 dwarf climbing the wall.

I like those movies
.
Mission chains are a great idea, makes the side missions seem a little more important if they have little arcs. Also even if they are standalone it helps if they have a plot, even if it is simple.
A mission like Noveria, with multiple ways to go through it
Yeah, this would be nice.

I guess you could call that Mission Imp-ossible.
...
I'll show myself out.
I do not like the sound of some of the coop missions leaked in the survey. Sounds too much like the boring Bethesda Radiant quests.
One of the things I'd love to see the most in ME:A is more stealth based missions.
That's one reason why I really liked the ME2 DLC ''Arrival'', infiltrating the Batarian Prison, eavesdropping on the guards, taking them out with a silenced pistol - I really enjoy this kind of gameplay a lot.
I hope there will be atmospheric missions where you have to infiltrate alien facilities etc. and gather data or assassinate a target without making too much noise and mess. ![]()
Finding fertile garden planets for our crops. In order to fight effectively, soldiers need foods, without foods, instead of getting a new world the humans may get a long-distance graveyards in a foreign new galaxy with thousands of hostile natives.
I'd like a mission where we have to help bake dextro cakes for turians and quarians. And you have a choice to not actually bake dextro cakes, and then lie and say they ARE dextro, and then wipe out all the turians and quarians. With cake. Wipe them out with cake. And then do the same with amino cakes and amino species. Just wipe them all out with cake. And one of the consequences could be that other species won't trust you to make cake for them.
Levo, not amino. Dextros are also amino acids.
Fun fact, the first google result on the subject is a post in another mass effect forum (though that might be the cookies putting it at the top for me).
I want a mission to get a Salarian the perfect drink. When you are near finished and you are trying to make the drink he drunkenly slams his hand down and says "HOLD. THE. LIME."
Yea, I'd be happy.
I want as wide a variety of missions as possible. Scanning things and collecting items/resources should be incidental, not treated as actual content, and a bunch of rooms filled with extremely convenient cover that you shoot stuff in is not proper game design IMO.
These are just off the top of my head.
Missions:
Unite Races under your awesomeness
Marry daughter of race leader inorder for peace or war
Kill council or similar substitute
Kill udina substitute earlier by means of ardat yakshi squadmate loyalty mission
Airlock any crew you disagree with
Oh and a mission fighting off an endless sea of spear throwing savages
Careful, lad. You might cut someone with that edge.
