Hm... and here I thought "more worse" is a grammatical error. :( :(

Oh, well.

Moving on:

Dutch does have a point, to a degree.  Current info data points to the necessity of building up your colonies = plural, which requires finding resources, which requires the need for search / scout parties and finding tech blueprints to upgrade your tech / weapons and gear to fight your opponents. Bio itself admits to a focus on exploration and that once on a planet, they want you "to stick around".

So, 100s of planets + "sticking around" for .5 hrs/planet = 50 hrs of sticking around.... minimum, doing what, pray tell? searching? exploring? That is on top of mission times, of course.

I think this "sticking around" is an excuse to give EA a metric that says ME:A players spend N billions seconds connect time, which they will flaunt to the investment world.  EA won't provide a number that is anywhere near the actual main story arc playing time.

but there is leak info, that this so call "resources" come from the "galaxi map" where you send your parties to do missions, like on DA I.

It will be a huge chore just like in MEA but probably more worse since there's more of a focus to it.

... how ... what?

If that is the case, it will still be a tedious chore. It would be like the resource gathering from the war room in Inquisition. 'Send scouts to look for metals - 1 hour - brings back one tiny piece of metal'.

The war room mechanic was also horrible.

True.

But, if you are quoting DA:I, how many "resources" did these agents get you? two coins?, 5 elf-root? That worked very poorly when I played DA:I.  I had to do it myself to get anywhere.

Also, unless you altered the clock for the WT missions you'd have to wait irl between 5 minutes-20 hours.

It will be 150 hours or so and half of that time will be dedicated to collecting resources like in DAI.

PROOF
>there is an immense focus on colonization and setting up bases/colonies
>you need to collect materials to build up bases
>half your in game time is spent spamming the MEA search button on controller or keyboard like in DAI

It will be a huge chore just like in DAI but probably worse since there's more of a focus to it.

I intend to largely ignore side content unless it ends up TW3 fun.  Hopefully they provide a much more comprehensive journal system this time around so the BS can be avoided.

Dutch does have a point, to a degree,

I contend that Dutch has never actually had a point.

That said, what we DO know is that, despite all of that, despite inevitable endless complaining about the game and all the DLC, despite thousands of poorly chosen words sharted out onto the BSN - he will buy the game on release and all the DLC on day one and play all of it all the way through. Just like he did with DAI.

ME:A will have AI Strike Teams.

Some good news, though. The AI Strike Teams can improve if you level them up and provide them with better gear. In turn, they  can tackle harder missions and return with better results (equipment, blueprints... etc). Oh, also, Strike teams return within a 30 minute period, I believe.

Somehow, in a space game with Interplanetary and Interstellar travel, sending a AI Strike teams on a mission and have them return within 30 minutes "real time", is a bit weird.

My point modification with the word "to a degree" is insufficient?  Surely he deserves some slack?

this. For too long I expected something equal in Fallout. Then comes Fallout 4 and.......its sux.

I do not know what's worse : lack of purpose to build settlements or the falling performance in these places . Sanctuary for me was 17 fps and lick yours chops

After a while, I started purposely delaying telling Preston that I'd completed one of his quests just so he wouldn't give me another one.

Yes there is. Simply send him to the a** crack of the worst and crappy settlement you can possibly think of in the bloody middle of nowhere, a settlement you know you'll never visit again. Problem solved until you step into the castle again that is...
