Also let's not forget about strategic butt coverings for each armor set as well. we don't want these characters to succumb to the male gaze.

Yeah, it can't be that some people find ridicolous that characters go in combat dressed like that, or with breathers in space.
I don't care if there are those type of armours, as long as we have more proper armour options. ME3 on this (though I'd prefer more options for companions) was good. As for the outfits on the ship, I don't care which kind of outfits they have.

I don't think androgynous can be used to categorize a group as, say, asexual. They obviously won't do a furry PC. As from asexual, again, the content required for addressing a PC liked that would be minimal, regardless of the fact that I don't think Bioware will do it.
I didn't say companions Make writing good stories harder in developing open world rpgs. I said that they reagire massive resources, which other open world rpgs use in different way. It is something other open world rpgs generally don't have or not in this way. Bioware simply have to take account of that, while other companies can use those resources in something else. While it is something many people, myself included, love, it is a big cost for Bioware. And when you consider the cost of making an open world game, it's obvious that something else have to be cut.

As for Dorian and Krem, fair enough, but Games aren't perfect. I doubt you'll find one with a couple or bad side quests.

I don't think we differ that much in opinions.  I'm just trying to say that the bottom line is cost which basically mean not all minority groups will be represented.

As I said in a different post,  I have an attribute (not identity)  which is 1 in a billion  which means no money is spent on it. I accept that.

Edit: I meant asexual, not androgynous.

Also I'd like to know how exactly would EAware implement asexual option in the CC. As an asexual myself I find this stupid. What...is my character going to have the AVEN triangle stamped on his forehead, so the entire gaming world will know he's asexual?

Well, I agree, and I doubt Bioware wants to rapresent every minority groups either.

Toggle, obviously.
Of they'll ever implementat that it'd be on some dialogues, not the CC.

I'm not. I wasn't actually sure you were. The toggle thing was a joke. The other was how I think they'd add it, but as I said Before, I don't think they will.

IMO, one could mind ones own business instead of making fun of other people identities, etc. It won't hurt me, you or anyone else that someone want to play a dude with makeup, or whatever they want. Whatever makes them happy. What they do in their game is their business.

Why not take it seriously?  If it leads to people with completely different viewpoints actually learning something, then I've achieved something.  I don't think the OP will though, others might.

... the term 'SJW' has become a kneejerk reactione to peoples who don't agree with equality. Its sour grapes and the only ammonation for bigots.

This bit I agree with, I always believed a little social justice was a good thing...

As for 'choices', I welcome 'more', rather than 'instead of'...

The term "SJW" is used as an ironic chuckle at the way the person sees himself. Others may seem him differently, typically as wearing a red, rubber nose and floppy shoes.

Bioware has a simple binary solution to body shapes with the CC. Create an algorithm that permits variable body shapes (within reason) along with armour reshaping that fits into the CC creation or creating fixed body shapes but limit the available bodies and their armours.

Solution 1.

This takes time and resources at a front end high cost but the payoff is immense down the road.  It becomes a reusable and valuable asset to the studio. All future games can have variable body shapes. Creation of new body shapes will take "no time" to do (ie: using the CC). With this project, the amount of time, resources and cost needs to be compared with:

Solution 2

Fixed body shapes is a do it once effort. However, you need an "effort" for each body shape and a fixed armour for it. Add a body shape and you know what the time, resources and cost will be.  Therefore, limiting these body shapes is a method of cost control.  In game 2-3 of ME:A these assets can be reused for similar body shapes.... just create new armours for them, if needed.  Add an alien and you need to go to sentence # 2, above.

So far, Bio favours Solution 2.

Either I have misunderstood you or you have misunderstood me.

As I said DAI already had eight different body shapes. It has literally been done before in a bioware game. Of course 'more' is costly, no one is disputing that. I don't think its costly in terms of armour though. Its costly in terms of creating interactions with each different body type. Also I was working off the assumption that the main character was limited to humanity.

I think we should have Biowares' ideal body types for male and female characters which is the muscular male and small thin woman, and then maybe give us the opposite of both. Don't really need three of each, just an obvious alternative to the default body types.

If you want to be taken even remotely seriously, you should start with checking your spelling (seriously, I had to read it twice). And don't use word as " super duper" as it make you sound like a 12 year old . (no insult to either you or any 12 years old that may read this.)

If you are serious, you should use this comment as a way to improve your writing.

(If not, you can always report me for "being abusive"  <_<)

And no, I will not comment on the topic as I think it is a poorly made bait. :bandit:

Its a little bit more than that. It is an attempt to place people who hold views characterized by this term on the same level as well the ignorant and hateful. A position to be laughed at and ridiculed.

Racists and homophobes, to name a few, are people whose views are generally condemned because of our current culture and they these mostly hold conservative views. Terms like SJW were created for the purpose of adding people with largely liberal views to this collection of undesirables.

Honestly, I don't think SJW will stay an insult for long because, as you alluded to in your post, it does sound kinda cool no matter what it actually means.

If that's what you care about, you've probably come to the right place. I should add that you meet and get to know at least one trans man in the course of Inquisition. It's not the subject that impacts me the most, but if it matters to you, no reason to let these gamerbros get you down.

Bioware is pretty good on this and getting better all the time. For example, Inquisition and ME3 are the first games I played that had homosexual romance options who couldn't pursue as a member of the opposite gender. Makes it more realistic. Your character should be whoever you want them to be.

The real irony is, that many times those that adopt the term SJW as a badge of honor, are themselves racist and / or sexist.

I mean, it's not egalitarianism that they preach and push, but rather supremacy of certain factions and view points.

I'm all for live and let live, not for policing opinions and brainwashing the masses in a throwback to religions of old.

I am a guy and I like to play video games, for some reason I feel offended by this term. Is this supposed to convince me to be more "open minded"?

I think the term SJW will stay, not so much because it's meant to insult but as a label for  those with social views so fixed that they will no platform someone with an opposing opinion even if this opposing opinion is politely presented and argued.

Granted, there are many in the anti SJW crowd who no platform.

Aside from the fact that many of these religions are still currently practicing, you're not doing a very good job of not lumping entire demographics together yourself.

Today religions don't have carte blanche to preach as strongly and control the opinions of the masses as they did in the past.

The new politically correct slash fake outrage movement on the other hand, managed to get quite a lot of mainstream media into a choke-hold of sorts.

As for me, I think of a very particular group of fanatics and their supporters when I use the term SJW.

It isn't an accurate term, but still conveys the general meaning most of the time.

I don't dislike minorities or people with different sexuality or mindset, I dislike fanatics that don't see the wisdom in compromise and real equality.

Lulz. The world has plenty of places where religion's iron grip is stronger than this "PC" terror ever could be.

Real equality is good. But also good is to understand what measures must be taken to achieve it, because we aren't nearly there yet.
