If the ME:A setting is indeed set in the future then the appearance of team mates progeny can be included, an addition from the old saved files, possibly with a dramatic intro? They could be set upon by the new Main enemy and you have to rescue them.

ClarkHewis is asking if anyone wants to see a descendent of one of Shepard's squadmates make an appearance in Mass Effect: Andromeda since it is set in the future and saying it could be done by using an imported save state.
The issue with this is that the ARK(s) leave during the trilogy with it's crews in cryogenic suspension and not after the trilogy. This would mean only descendents that were around during the trilogy such as Kolyat could be included.
Note: Kolyat is used as an example of a character that is around during the trilogy, he is not an example of a character that could work with ClarkHewis proposes. I consider unlikely that the ARK(s) would not leave before the Reapers arrive and even excluding the Citadel DLC, Kolyat sticks around after the Reapers has arrive.
Oh its a hat trip to the previous series. An included character thats the child of two team mates that weren't LI options you picked. It includes a team mate that allows you to still retain emotional attachment to previous characters. Are you Pro or Con?

For one, I don't want to see any familiar faces. That goes for anybody who inherited a face from a squadmate we know. Secondly, if the ark leaves before ME3, I doubt anybody had time to make kids (just to send them away on an intergalactic voyage ) while galavanting around the cosmos in 1 and 2.
Mass effect trilogy is over. It's done. Finito. It was a good series, mass effect 3 particularly was exquisite. However, now Shepards story is over. I have no doubt that some characters from the old series will return in 'some' way. Bioware are on a weird mission to make their worlds, galaxies, seem as small as possible and also people will exchange money for nostalgia. But I do not want to be reminded of past games when I have ready access to those games. I wish to explore a new galaxy with new beings and characters I doubt the story will dragon age 2 levels of originality but it doesn't matter as long as I don't recognise anyone or there ancestors. (Except Javik)
Give us new stuff to marvel over Bioware.

There won't be because they leave during the trilogy. Shepard and gang are still fighting while Ryder and gang are in cryo.

Some people seem confused. Yes the game takes place hundreds of years after the trilogy but the characters in this game will be from the same time period that Shepard was from. I am guessing at most Ryder is a decade younger than Shepard if even that.
