Sorry, I know N7 day is a long way out, but I'm on that hype train right now. Anyway, on to way I believe we will have a full reveal on N7 day 2016. Aaron Flynn told Eurogamer "...the time to really blast all that out there is after the other games come out. We'll be there then to have a great big reveal and release all the details..."

Lets remember that Bioware is published by EA. EA's holiday games are:

Battlefield 1 October 21st

Titanfall 2 October 28th

(Side note, it is a little weird that both games are launching on a Friday)

Then a week later, it's N7 day/weekend.

Do you want the full game reveal? Is N7 day going to be like 2015? Let me know what you think? What do you want to see the most?

I'm on the hype train as well and like to think N7 Day went without saying, but it's possible it could be sooner or later. As for what I'd like to see in the reveal (I definitely want one) the combat system and a little bit of conversations would be more than enough.. alright, maybe throw the Mako in there too

We'll learn about the story, be introduced to more characters, and see additional gameplay.

It'll be a great day.

If there isn't concrete information and gameplay by the end of that day I'll go from thinking Andromeda is having a troubled development to thinking it's in development hell.

I've been off these forums for quite some time.  Is that the general concensus around here?  That development has been troubled?

To be fair, if they, for whatever unlikely reason, don't show stuff except behind the scenes and artwork for the next N7 day then yes, there's something wrong.

It's a popular sentiment around here. Two years ago Bioware said they were working on a new Mass Effect, last year they officially announced Andromeda, and this year they released a short behind-the-scenes trailer/video. There's been next to no news coming from Bioware regarding MEA and when there is news it's about someone leaving Bioware. So yeah some people think that development is troubled.

Personally, I think the doomsaying is unwarranted right now. If Bioware pulls through on the info dumps they have lined up for fall, nobody will remember or care that we had 2 years of radio silence. Once we board the hype train nobody will complain that it was late.

But if we get another "I can't wait to show you guys more in the coming weeks!" then we should all be very worried.

Not really, no. You have a handful of people absolutely sure it has who do their darndest to convince everyone else, though.

I'm actually kind of happy with the no information because it means I can speculate for a little while longer of a truly awesome game. Sadly I don't believe bioware is capable of making it which sucks because I really want this to be awesome...as I have nothing to play otherwise. Well except Civ 6. It seems so many of my beloved franchises are going the way of the supreme suckage. I feel like a minority in that I care for the story far more than any gameplay features or graphics. It can look beautiful all it wants, but its hollow without that. DAI was that kind of disappointment for me. But we will see come next year. Maybe they'll surprise me.

At the end of this (german) interview with Aaron Flynn and Mac Walters it is mentioned that they hat to hold some things back they might have shown (but they didn't because of "other games").. and that there will more in november. Perhaps EA want to hype Battelfield 1 and Titanfall 2 more because they come out this year?

PS. this interview also mentioned that there  will be some "i remember this character" moments in the game... so perhaps there could be some minor Sidecharacter of ME1 or ME2 who comes to amdromeda? more speculations, yeahh!

So it does sound like they want those 2 games out the door before they crank the hype train up. Makes sense to me. If we don't get some gameplay videos on N7 day, I'm jumping on a the doomsday bandwagon. That means no way the game is getting released early next year and it's most likely in development trouble.

Honestly, EAPlay killed my hype completely, so I'm on the "whatever" bandwagon right now.

I was so upset with EAPlay. I was 100% sure EA was going to do a Fall Out reveal for Mass Effect. And all we got was the trailer. No new IP or anything. I can feel your pain.

Pretty much, although I'm currently skeptical about N7 Day as they haven't given me a reason to believe the game is still on track for Q1 2017. I'm pretty much expecting news of another delay when they do finally decide to share more.

If it's going to be like N7 2015, I'd be very disappointed. The game is scheduled to come out in the start of 2017, by that time, if they don't show a proper trailer, then people will really freak out, coz they've been keeping us in the dark all this time. Heck they should've shown something other than a behind the scenes look in such a huge platform like E3. When i saw that trailer, even though it was a good one, i couldn't help but think if it's really ready, that they didn't show anything in E3.

This development delay only happened because it's another crowded holiday game season this year and MEA is not the only big game pushed back this year.

Frankly, that's not something Bioware really needs to worry about. If it really is on track to be released in early 2017, then people wondering right now whether or not it's on track isn't going to matter.

It gathered a lot of momentum after the lackluster EAPlay Andromeda had. Even an ex-Bioware employee mentioned he thinks Andromeda might be facing issues in development.

In short, it's a fair assessment. However, not necessarily a bad thing. Facing issues is not a problem in the end if you have enough time to solve them. Bioware is clearly reluctant to nail a release date, so thats possibly means they will have the time they need, even if Andromeda releases later than expected. That is why I believe by the way, I'm thiking a May'17 release or later.

Isn't Ryder supposed to be A1? August is right around the corner, I wouldn't mind some little appetizer.

I don't think it is the consensus, but there has been some speculation whether that might be the case. The firing or resignation of a lead writer a few months after being hired and a former Bioware dev tweeting that Andromeda not having a major presence at E3 is not a good sign, has fueled some of it.

If it is the tweet I'm thinking of then I'd take that one with a grain of salt considering how much it sounded like bitter talk to me. That and as far as I know, that person was not involved with the development so they might know about it as much as we do.
