Ok, we can agree that Mad Max driving mechanics should be the blueprint for BioWare to strive for, after all their assurances about new MAKO.

Like the topic states.

 

I cannot think of any other sandbox game which has as good driving mechanics as the newest Mad Max game.

 

Not only the mechanics feel so flawless, but also driving vehicles (especially Magnus Opus) is just pure fun.

I would love to have the same exact mechanics with same quality in Mass Effect: Andromeda.

 

What is most amusing is not only the mechanics, but the amount of various vehicles you get to drive in Mad Max.

In Mass Effect: Andromeda we are told we get to drive just the MAKO, there won't be any other vehicles to play with on major scale, so I assume we can expect flawless design here from BioWare, as they need to concentrate on a single vehicle during game's developement.

 

What do you guys/gals think?

Well, we know Bioware worked with the Need For Speed team for the Mako mechanics.

 

They have also mentioned customization is something they will be doing a lot. They have mentioned character, armor, and even ship, so the Mako may be customizable as well. If so, let's hope you can actually give it a gun.

Mad Max is a fun game. A huge world, most of which is featureless waste that you drive past at high speed...

Never actually enjoyed Mako missions especially collecting junk wise. I would however prefer some actual game content, featuring Mako mission. Not sure Mad Max is something worth aspiring to however.

I dig it.

 

The Mad Max game - as far as the gameplay is concerned at least - is better than any movie tie-in has any business being. Vehicle combat was super fun.

The driving mechanics are being assisted by The Need for Speed development team so they should be a definite improvement.

I need gunz on the Mako (MORE DAKKA!). Aside from that Kustomizshun is the very soul of Ork warefare-tekhnology, so we need that in.

Hmm... sometimes I really amaze myself.

 

I wonder if it would be fun playing an Ork Kommando at the head of an Orkish WAAAAGGGHHH!! aimed at conquering Andromeda.

Nice game, Mad Max. The airport level is probably one of the best designed levels I've ever played.

 

The game did get a bit boring when you're a completionist.

More levels based in Australia will always be cool by me. Our snakes'll nip ya though, be warned.

Nice game, Mad Max. The airport level is probably one of the best designed levels I've ever played.

 

The game did get a bit boring when you're a completionist.

 

The airport was really good. There were a lot of creepy little discoveries to be made out in that corner of the map in general, like that buried church full of Buzzards. The world was pretty empty, but it felt appropriate. I actually really loved the time I spent with it, although I definitely didn't come anywhere close to 100%. And the story was a little stupid.

 

The car combat and customizing was terrific though, the visuals were incredible, and for the foot combat, there's worse systems to crib from than the Arkham games.

I don't think such mechanics will be implemented for Mako in ME:A. I believe we will get the same old controls for it like the Jump Jet (Conceptual Prototype video) and a new one which seems to be Afterburners (E3/EA Play 2016 BTS trailer).

 

But what I liked in this video is the thunderstorm. I hope they add such environmental effects and natural hazards in the game.
