I would never bother with the word best. I just hope I enjoy it. I haven't made any judgments yet, but I'm hesitant, as I am with all things.

We'd give it game of the year, and then proceed to be disappointed with every future RPG until the heat death of the universe.

As to the OP: I think it'll be fun and will hopefully have some engaging role-playing variation, but it ain't gonna be the best RPG of all time.

And you can find multiple lists, be it best game, best RPG, best Sci-Fi game, etc that put Mass Effect 2 in or close to the very top. Of course, this doesn't means my opinion is correct. But I would argue however that it makes it... valid if you will.

Business as usual for Bioware... From BG to KotoR to ME to DA they have dominated the RPG world. Really would not be surprised if ME:A is in that tier.

If Mass Effect 2 is the benchmark, not taking the other games in the trilogy or countless other RPGs into account, then Andromeda stands a very good chance of being the best RPG ever made.

Hard to peg just one. The non-Bethesda Fallout games (including New Vegas), Planescape, Morrowind and Baldur's Gate 2 fight for the top spot.
