What are your favourite uncharted worlds that you can visit (If you have one. I know they can be a bit of a drag)?

One of mine has got to be Agebinium, in UNC: Espionage Probe...If I ignore the fact that Haliat is a human instead of a Turian, can survive outside with no helmet, and the Skyllian Blitz is referenced as "three years ago" instead of eight, I really like the mission, especially the sniping part (although it's annoying on Insanity because of Immunity). The music, the desolate atmosphere and the general aesthetic are really great.

(Oh dear, I'm rambling again)

Honestly, I can't pick one. I loved to many worlds ~ I spent so many time to read all the descriptions on every system and was like "oooohhh <3" I wish we could land on every planet :)

Luna (if that can be considered to be an uncharted world).  Love looking up an seeing Earth.  My second favorite would be Asteroid X-57... and for the view of an earth-like planet above it.

Any of the flat ones. Driving over ones shaped like Bart Simpson's head in the Mako is far from fun...

You mean Terra Nova? I liked that one too.Personally, I didn't like having to land on a lot of planets but some of them were great(besides the overly mountainous ones  ). I really liked some of the planets which involved the main plot, especially Virmire, though they don't really count as 'uncharted'.

Looking up on Luna and noticing that the continents are backward. :)

Nodacrux, Presrop and Chasca are the worst two for that. Klensal and Edolus are the flattest.

Looking up from Luna and intentionally overlooking the fact that the continents are backward... because it's still Earth.  And then remembering when the first photo of Earth from the vicinity of the moon was published - 1966.

The Lunar Orbiter's mission may have been accomplished long ago, but its first image of the Earth continues to inspire.

"We're on this little Earth. We're only part of some grand solar system in some big galaxy and universe. That's why this picture is important, because this was the first time that anyone on Earth got this sense," said Friedlander.

I've just spent some time leafing through Rover photos of Earth taken from Mars... we've come a long, long ways in my lifetime... and still we've got a long, long, long, long, .... ways to go. :)

Off the top of my head (so spelling could be an issue):

Agebinium. Fairly interesting color pallete, plus I like looking at the sun and seeing it animated. Plus killing Elias Hallat is satisfying, even if he is human instead of Batarian. It is even more satisfying if you have the War Hero background. And it can be fun with sniper rifle training as you slowly pick everyone off one at a time.

Nonuel. Interesting with the lava, plus two Thresher Maws! And if you have enough renegade bar filled... killing 'Lord' Darius is always a welcome moment.

Ontarom is kind of cool with the lightning strikes in the distance. Although it has this Shifty Looking Cow that always takes my lunch money...

Honorable mentions: Elatania are Nodacrux are pretty, but the hills are too much of a pain as you try to get to stuff.

Also, my runner up would be Nonuel.

There really wasn't anything like this in the other games.

I disagree - Looking up from Lessus in ME3 is a pretty spectacular sight.  The  views in the Overlord DLC in ME2 are great.   Or, how about the Aurora Borealis over the Normandy Crash Site or the lightning and lighting around the Shadow Broker's ship.   I think most of the impression comes from the missions in the later two games being so active that people just don't tend to look up or look out a window to really take them in.  For example, how many noticed the bright orange Aurora and super-large moon behind the landing site on Neith (ME2 - Wrecked Merchant Freighter)?  (I wish I had a means of taking some screenshots and uploading them.)

The thing, with the later game is that you'r mostly very linear, and there is very distinct seperation between the path you're on and the background. This is different in the UNC missions where at least I got the feeling I'm on some barren rock in the middle of nowhere.

It happened to me with the main story missions in ME1 as well. I think the Mako, despite the questionable controls (which I don't actually mind), it was a good way to portray the fact that you were on a planet, especially on Noveria.
The other games wanted to show as much action and drama as possible, so it just dropped you in a building, EDI told you what you were supposed to be doing, and then you went and followed the path, shooting enemies for the whole mission until you reached a big end cutscene.

I guess It's that I don't necessarily equate the feeling of being on an alien world with being on a barren one.  I liked that, unlike the worlds in ME1, many of the worlds in ME2 and ME3 had some foliage and "paths" as a result.  They were also mixed with a few worlds that were more barren and not quite so linear - like Alchera (Normandy Crash Site) and Neith (Wrecked Merchant Freighter) and Altahe (Overlord).  Palaven certainly had the feel of being "barren: as well and the paths on it were no more linear than they had been on Therum.  I also feel the later games avoided the pitfall of just repeating the same pattern of the same "barren world" exploration and a fight in the same prefab warehouse over and over again.

Overall, there is an intentional progression over all three games  ME1 was about missions concentrating on the unexplored planets fighting small merc bands and rogue research groups who would naturally hide away on barren worlds.  In ME2 the game's focus was on "colonies" and the set pieces, therefore, naturally reflect more "M" class planets (with breathable atmos and, therefore, blue skies and plant life).  In ME3, the focus of the war shifted to populated "home" worlds in ME3 as the Reapers began their "harvest" of huge populations.  All in all, I find the shift in set pieces appropriate to the story that Bioware was telling.  One just wouldn't put colonies on planets that were essentially uninhabitable and Reapers intent on exterminating organics would be most likely to hit urban areas the hardest.

Even in ME3 though, appreciating the alien expanse of, say, Lessus only required looking out the monastery windows or looking up from the surface of the moon (Menae) to see Palaven close in the sky and on fire.  I thought that reflecting that "shift" in the story line while maintaining a sense of "space" was well done in all three games.

That is something I never thought of before. That's actually pretty interesting.
