I always find threads asking for less content to be rather odd. But that's these forums for you.
Regarding the OP: It's such popular content, the backlash would be huge. Also, a romance that is that disconnected from the story that it could simply be tacked on might not actually be worth pursing, let alone paying for.
What if main plot was made into DLC......... wait... The Arrival DLC, Leviathan DLC.. BW is way ahead of you....

What would you make DLC next? The main story? The side content? Hell, why not make every single character individual DLC. £40 buys you the protagonist and the first mission with no other characters appearing. Bloody brilliant idea.
