What do you think about the ability to customize your class (partially). For example, each class has 7 abilities in total - 6 class based and one ammo ability. So as a biotic you have a list of all biotic abilities and can chose 6 from the list for your character. Or as a sentinel you can chose 2 tech 2 biotic and 2 combat abilities and so on.

Hopefully that will happen anyway

Probably depends on what multiplayer entails. If there is any PvP everything is going to have to be very balanced.
It may be easy to implement when you have DICE as a partner and are using Johan's game engine (and could offset DLC costs and dev costs with multiplayer packs). Mass Effect and Battlefront also share third person and a jetpack.
We will probably find out more on N7 day with all that.

Class customization is a no in my book. Like the classes we have, like their abilities they already have, and the lore behind them.

And that is why I think it shouldnt be totaly open, but restricted by class. I dont see why Adept cant have lash, or biotic charge, or Nova or any other biotic ability. Its all biotics after all

They are the main biotic class so obviously they are going to have that

They do specific moves for their class because of the biotic implants they have. Example: Vanguards are outfitted with the L5n implants that enables them to Charge. The type of implant the character has = their class spacific abilities. That's what the lore already explains. Smh, another example of fans not knowing lore

Oh and as to why they might add some multiplayer PvP and sell some multiplayer skins or whatever and packs...

Overwatch made 269 MILLION dollars in just May. No wonder we only have 2 really big RPG makers with one on Poland lol. Explains why Blizzard doesn't care about WoW anymore to.

I used it as an example, not due to lore. Example, Aria in Omega DLC. Why does she have those skillsets and we dont?

Aria is an asari they have natural biotics. Her biotic prowess is not defined by implants, but her pure skill.

In a technical standpoint it is a balance issue, because we as humans a large majority will want to play the "most powerful class" and make it that way by min-maxing the abilities so they only have to worry about a set group of abilities and balance them within one another. Otherwise you risk having multiple abilities feeling the same as one another or you have a class that can be viewed as overpowered such as the adept in Mass Effect 1.
Edit: Removed quote that shouldn't have been there.

As long as it stays out of MP I dont see a problem with it. In SP people should be able to play as whatever they want.

I'd be ok with no classes, just different skill trees/paths/evolutions. It always felt strange an infiltrator or adept could've had the war hero/renegade background.

Wow that's different, someone whom actually thinks the adept class is OP in ME 1. Usually I run into people who say that it was a useless class and was overshadowed by the Vanguard due to the vanguard having basically every skill adept had, but also could utilize adrenaline burst. Good on you sir!!

Exactly... plus you can chose which class suits your playing style best

That explains the class power (which I think should be locked in for each class) but it doesn't explain why a Vanguard has to have, say, pull instead of throw. Restrictions like that are just arbitrary.
I've said before that I would like to see some flexibility in the 'lower-tier' powers. Using the Vanguard example again, you could roll with charge, nova, slam, throw and cryo ammo. Not utterly different from the current Vanguard but enough to allow some experimentation.

I'm pretty good with the classes in the MEverse, just wish the games had more reactivity to them.

Pull and throw are essential to every biotic. So yeah, lower tier abilities like those, I have no problem with being able to mix and match. But class specific powers like Nova, charge, singularity; shouldn't be touched.

There aren't very many people who say Adept was useless in ME1 even if it is possible to build the Vanguard as a "better" Adept to an extent.
Most of the qq surrounding Adept comes from ME2 where biotics didn't auto-win every fight any longer. And you had 'oppressive' weapon restrictions, even though you started with 100% more weapon training than in ME1.

So, a skill system like in TW/Skyrim, being able to choose any skill you want. I'd actually find that more interesting than classes.I'd be ok with no classes, just different skill trees/paths/evolutions. It always felt strange an infiltrator or adept could've had the war hero/renegade background.

I always want more gameplay customization. Giving each class a pool of powers to choose from would be excellent.
