I'd really rather not have the squad mates have little kids.  They always feel like a cheap emotional ploy, a lazy shortcut designed to make the viewer connect and become invested which frankly never works in games or movies.

I also have a hard time with the idea that the Ark would bring them anyway.  Small children are resource hogs which take years to start giving back.  If your are talking about fighting for land and facing unknown environments and hostile natives you don't want to have anymore drains on those precious resources until there is some stability. Then you can start churning out the little poop factories.

Given the premise of ME:A, an "All in the Family" video game makes no sense.

For one, the focus is on exploration to find resources, build settlements and grow your colonies. Two, fighting threats requires manpower and you can do this by recruiting mercenaries from your settlements and building your team through loyalty missions. These two points give action and pacing to the game. You don't need to saddle the actions with "baby sitting" material.

The Ryder family is enough and it's probably a brother sister act anyway.

The hell. Thought this was another romance thread. Yeah, that would be fine. Honestly though, since they've done it in the past, and somewhat consistently, i'd be shocked if BW doesn't do it for this installment of the series.

The first trilogy lack that part (elderly and children), this time around i hope they include them and not just for the companions or NPCs

Err, if only the cranky ones can be left in a cabin somewhere. Or closet. In the basement. Or the shuttle bay.

Maybe long time friends but I don't want to have an LI whose extra baggage isn't my own. In a videogame.

Depends whether they end up as ridiculously awesome as Lyanna Mormont, or as utterly infuriating as Tommen Baratheon?

If we got a child like Lyanna Mormont in game I want to adopt her and have her as an companion! lol

Okay that would mean she would deal with all threats herself in no time and they should have left her back in the milkyway because she would have killed the Reapers on her own.
