This has been gnawing away at my brain for the past few days. I was hoping to test this myself, but I do not appear to have a good pre-Suicide Mission game save with any of my Shepards. So I am wondering if anyone here has tried this.

 

So after completing the Suicide Mission, you can leave Zaeed to die on his loyalty mission. What I was wondering -- post Suicide Mission -- if Zaeed is one of only two surviving squadmates, can you still leave him to die on his loyalty mission, or will the game hide that option because you must have a minimum of two squadmates?

It can't be done. He will always survive if he's the only other squadmate. There has to be at least two squadmates plus Zaeed for him to die on his loyalty mission. I tried it before and he didn't die

 

I had Zaeed and Miranda survive the suicide mission. On his loyalty mission, I did everything possible to have him die. It never happened. So what I did was let Grunt out of his tank. Went back and Zaeed died on his loyalty mission since I had two other squadmates, Miranda and Grunt.

 

Its a similiar situation with Wrex on Virmire. If Garrus is not recruited and Liara hasn't been rescued yet, he will always agree with Shepard. With Garrus or Liara there, he can be killed

Well what I did is I kept choosing paragon i think for his loyalty and did plan on leaving him behind but at the final part of the game I had him in charge of a squad (He says nothing) and when it got to the whole gate jamming thing he had Legion take a rocket to the face. I had him lead on again for the following choice and he bled to death.
