I don't really want to see my HoF again...and that probably sounds terrible lol. But I've been through two more protagonists since then, and their story just seems so far away now.

Do you think we will play in DA4 with a new character ? and do you think Hawke or the Inquisitor will be in the new game ?

I am very sure DA4 will have an new player character, just like DA2 and DA:I did. Some other characters may return... since it looks likely to take place in Tevinter, Dorian is probably going to be back, for one, and if the Inquistor was his friend, then he or she is going to be mentioned, at least. Hawke ... considering what may have happened to Hawke, there are ways for him or her to cameo, but don't get your hopes up for a party member's return.

They had their story, it ended, and half of them are even dead.

You said half because you counted all those who only played DAI or those who never used the DA keep...mm well i think if that is the case then it is more than just a 50%.

I want poor Mal to stay semi retired.  Granted it does make logical sense for BioWare to have him doing what they have him doing and I am not sure he'd rest on his laurels..but it was a mistake on their part to even open up the can of worms as far as they did.

Until I get solid evidence he's actually gone, I'll assume my King Cousland is just in the palace basements hiding from Anora after her latest tantrum.

The letter is just a ruse.

I'm confidant that DA4 will have a new protagonist, like the previous two sequels. I doubt Hawke will show up given that they can be lost in the Fade. The Inquisitor might, though.

The Warden only needs to "come back" long enough to tie the loose plot thread regarding his/her mission in Inquisition...and doesn't even need to come back on to camera to do that. With that, s/he can be retired to pure headcanon, doing whatever we want. Hawke is already more or less in that position if not sacrificed to the Nightmare (and darn close to confirmed, even if s/he was, but it'd be nice to have it finalized). So any role for either of them in DA4 can be relegated to something extremely minor.

And the same really goes for Quizzie. Unless she's a Solas-mancing elf, Quizzie's personal role in the story is essentially complete. While whatever remnants of the Inquisition might exist in your world state will likely have a role in whatever follow-up Trespasser inevitably needs to get, there's no reason the former Inquisitor needs to be anything more than the hand (no pun intended) guiding it from off screen.

I wouldn't want to see my Wardens again unless I can play them again. Otherwise, it's far too likely the DA team will derail them in some way. I'm fine with how things turned out in DAI, but if I can't play them again let them walk out of the story.

And yes, I think we will have a new protagonist in DA4. There may be an interlude with the Inquisitor, but the main character will be new.

The problem with the Warden is he/she can be anything. Mage, Rogue, Fighter, Elf, Dwarf, Human, Alive, Dead, single or with a string of broken relationships, can still be with a loved one, can have a child, can have a family... it's all very complex. Plus, people have detailed head-cannons they've built for their Wardens over the years. and will NOT TAKE IT WELL if you don't keep them consistent (see: blood mage Hawke).

It's just too much to keep track of, and all of this is effort that could be going into making the new stuff better. Let the Warden enjoy his or her retirement. They've done enough.

I opted for an Ultimate sacrifice ending in DAO because my Aeducan  (greedy like all dwarves) had to try to absorb the power of an Archdemon...
I expect that Bioware will bring him back as a demon/abomination of greed.

Like DA:A You could down load your warden. That's why  DLC would be better.

For some reason, I don't think we'll see much of Hawke--if at all. To me, it feels like the Inquisitor's story isn't quite over. Whether that's true and whether it will continue in the next game remains to be seen.

The HoF has more than done her duty for King and Country. Let her ride off into the sunset with her LI and finally find the peace she deserves. Grow old and enjoy the freedom she fought so hard for.

Except Grey Wardens don't grow old, unless a cure for the Calling is found ;P She needs to fix that first.

I would probably sacrifice the Warden if he showed up in my game.

Sorry, but I think you posted the Sacred Ashes trailer by mistake.

I recommend trying again, but this time show the Hero of Ferelden in Origins, Awakening, and Witch Hunt, and then show the same model in Inquisition wearing the Warden armor and fighting Venatori or Red Templars to make it look like the Hero has returned to southern Thedas. Also splice in clips of the Inquisitor.

A "true" trailer will likely require custom map making, custom scene scripting, and some clever audio editing to make it sound like the Hero is conversing with the Inquisitor.

Then we find people he doesn't know...

Spoiler

I connected the two trailers because we know from DA:I that out HOF (The Warden) is on a quest to find a cure for the calling and in the trailer I made you can see the HOF in that quest and he remembers what he have been through and that's it . hope you liked it and hope we will get something about the HOF in DA4

I don't mind either way. But if I had a choice, I'd prefer to see Hawke again and see what's going on at Weisshapupt :)

And this, to me, is where the HoF could come back into the picture, even if only briefly.

Captain Wiseass, Its all about money and if there is demand beyond BW forum and there's money to be made then its good business sense to proceed and considering there's millions of gamers around the world that could add up to a tidy sum.

The key word there being "if." Just because you want a thing doesn't mean enough other people want it too. I've been wanting The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. to come back to TV for 23 years.

Clearly there are other people who want the HoF, otherwise why does this thread even have replies saying "yes"? Not to mention the people when DAI's commercials showed a Warden (who we now know was Alistair) that were psyched to see a possibility that their warden would be back. There's no way to judge how many people are going to be enough in the devs eyes. That's why people make these threads: To let the developers know that there is interest. Simply sitting around, not voicing an opinion, won't get anything done.

(As for Brisco, never lose hope ;P Fox could still reboot it)

All we need is The HOF to show up for one last time and that's it..
