Dashrashh, A DLC would be the best choice and the best money maker. I have several ideas from telling the story of  the HoF and Leliana's travels after Vigil's Keep, time spent with Morrigan after they entered the mirror, while looking for the cure or time spent at Weisshaupt during the revolt. The DLC would be similar to Leliana's story or Witch Hunt-a short fun game.

For those that killed off their warden in DA:O they need not buy the DLC for those that kept their warden alive they have the return of  their HoF.  In the process BW makes money.

In my after blight/Vigil's Keep fan story my male warden travel with Leliana and after she return to the Chantry he return home to the Denerim Alienage and became a drunk. My female warden marries a human merchant in Denerim while my female mage  warden joins Lanaya's clan as her second and dies 8 years after the blight from a fever.  I'm not sure if I really want my warden to return but, would still buy and play the DLC since it would be part of the DA series.

You just excluded a very large proportion of the audience. A lot of people killed their warden, and now, 8 years later, an even larger proportion of the audience won't have even played Origins and will have gotten that ended as default.

In order to make to DLC, they must have reason to believe it would sell better than any other piece of DLC they could spend the development time on. So they have a choice -

1 - Make DLC with the current protagonist, which will be relevant to 100% of the audience that has bought the base game, where they know the player has all the relevant information to enjoy the content.

2 - Make DLC for half of the audience that bought a completely different game 8 years ago and made 1 specific choice. Anyone who made a different choice is excluded, anyone who didn't play that game is excluded, and even if they provide the option to change the default choice for those that didn't play the game, the content won't make any sense for them as it will be based around characters they don't know.

In order to make this DLC, 2 has to be more profitable than 1. I'm not seeing any way that can happen.

It would be if people were interested. Someone who killed the warden or someone who didn't even know who the warden is wouldn't be interested at all and that is the majority of players.

That's why they should make an event in DA4 and if our HOF is alive he/she will show up and if not then the event will be without the HOF

And that would be ok, but the problem is why? The HoF is irrelevant now. He/she has nothing to contribute to the story.

The HoF could be returned in the group in DA:5.

Abyss108,How about the millions of gamers that has already played DA:O? Seems DA:O is still going strong as far as game goes.

Its all about demand and profits and with millions of gamers world wide that could amount to a large sum that would please the stock holders.

It's not enough that there were millions who played Origins. There would have to be millions more still playing Origins that didn't kill their warden, that also played Inquisition (replace "Inquisition" with whatever game this DLC is for), and that would be more interested in playing an Origins story than the Inquisition story.

If the question was whether to make a DLC or not to make a DLC and that DLC had to be about the Warden - millions of players playing Origins might be a case for making it. But that's not the question. The question is whether it would be more profitable than any other subject they could make the DLC about. And a subject that is about the current game doesn't immediately wipe out a large percentage of the audience.

I don't mind either way. But if I had a choice, I'd prefer to see Hawke again and see what's going on at Weisshapupt :)

I would prefer to see Fenris

Tbh if I want to see and play with the Warden again I'll just boot up DAO I don't need them to appear in any of the other DA games if Bioware chooses t obring them back in the futuer then so be it but I can live with the fact that they won't bring them back though.

They had their story, it ended, and half of them are even dead.

Please use this space to provide proof of that comment...

You have no proof and are just talking out of your ass... you have no clue how many DAO players consider their canon HOF used the US, so stop pretending you are in any position to speak on such matters.

That aside, different Devs have taken over and its time to stop the pining for the HOF. ML had next to nothing to do with the HOF, and as long as he has a say, there are only going to be references.

I loved the HOF as much as anyone... but its time to move on. They're not coming back, they're not going to be a PC, they're not going to make a DLC for them.

Take what you have in DAO, the DLCs and Awakening and be glad for any positive references in future installments... that's all you're going to get.

Well, that was rather rude.  I don't consider making a generic "half dead" comment to be contradictory when Bioware has presented the player with a difficult moral choice (the aim of which is to make both sides equally likely to be picked by a player). When you then combine that with the fact that a live warden requires the player to have bought an 8 year old game... "Half" the wardens being alive is incredibly unlikely. "Half" the audience even knowing who the Warden is seems incredibly unlikely.

Oh, and don't forget that the majority of gamers don't even get to the end of a game, so those wardens would be dead too.

Now, if I was using that figure to do some statistical calculations off of to support my point or something I could see why you might take issue with the comment. But considering the only point that was supporting was that "some are dead so it wouldn't make sense", I'm not seeing what your issue is. The number obviously wasn't written as the exact figure (and even if it was, I was extremely generous as to the likely number of live wardens), and you seem to be the only person who has read it as such.

How can a warden be dead if he never reach the final goal? To die he/she has to kill the AD without Morrigan's DR. That's the ending of the game anything else is a incomplete game until its finish or deleted..

I bought a XBox1 and  Dragon Age Inquisition Game Of The Year  just to play "Trespasser".

Because if the someone doesn't finish the game the player will get the default ending in which the warden is dead.

The HoF has more than done her duty for King and Country. Let her ride off into the sunset with her LI and finally find the peace she deserves. Grow old and enjoy the freedom she fought so hard for.

I have no desire to see my warden involved with DA4,but i will prefer to avoid the silly ride in the sunset with the LI like the disney movies if possibile.

Abyss108 is correct aside from the point in which she said that there is only one specific choice to spare the HoF which is untrue since among the 4 endings two options spare the warden PC without have to give anything to Flemeth and her daughter.
DAO finale was a false "dilemma" for me thanks to Loghain.

Abyss108 is right and she was generous to not make statistical calculations which she imho even supported with her reasoning
I think that 60% of players have an US world and they are divided in this way:
-Players who did the US.
-Players who did not completed the game of DAO.
-Players who never played DAO.
-Players who never used the DA Keep.
-Players who don't have Internet on their console thus didn't use the Keep.
-Players who don't have a legal copy of DAI thus cannot use the Keep.

Well if you want to be technical my first Warden probably died in the Fade.  And was never seen or heard from again.

That's what i also meant.
A friend of mine was not able to finish DAO and found it boring and abandoned the game in the fade mission.....guess that her warden is dead...

I bought two copies of DAI one for old gen and another for next gen always for Xbox in none of those i used the DA Keep

(sorry Bioware but i have no intention to register my games...)so i got a dead warden even if i  killed Loghain in DAO vs archdemon.

My dear sister instead wasn't even able to finish DAO....and so she got a dead warden as well.

Dead warden as you can see does not  mean US and someone like Mike Laidlaw is aware of that...

Indeed I play all kinds of ways. I would say at least half of my wardens aer dead though as they died delivreing the final blow to the Archdemon. I have had Warden's progress through the DLC's as well and gone through Awakening and the subsequent DLC's it just depends on the playthrough. In my current one my Dalish elf died killing the Archdemon. My next character will likely go ahead and do Morrigan's ritual aqnd therefore survive but I don't know yet as I'm not even sure what my next warden will be yet. I've got a few ideas in mind I want to do for my next run but I'll wait a while and think about it some more before deciding.

No more HoF. Not only is the fact that they are dead a possibility, but they are an utter blank slate. People were pissed enough when Hawke had a choice of three defined personalities.

People need to move on.

Makes me wonder just how badly Bioware is tempted to troll the fandom.

"Sure, we'll bring back the HoF, as a zombie possessed by Imshael, because you desired it so much. Har, har!"

"Or how about a darkspawn puppet controlled by the Architect? It's not like that isn't canon, right? Har, har"

If the Architect had the same ability of cory it means that he jumped on the HoF body when he was killed and is still inside them....Lol
