I started a new character, and downloaded & installed the Ser Gilmore mod. When we arrived in Lothering, Ser Gilmore had no clothes, wasn't approachable,and had orange fuzz for hair. When I moused over him this came up " ser_gilmore_lbc" all in lower case. I didn't have cc_core installed at the time,so I installed it and re loaded a pre-Lothering save. Still didn't work. So,I removed the Ser Gilmore mod completely from the computer, did a fresh download, reloaded a pre-Lothering save. Still didn't work. I figured the Maker was saying not to put him in this play through. Any help would be appreciated.

Go with the Daveth and Ser Jory exploit instead. Much more fun having them around, and you don't need any mods.

Daveth and Ser Jory after Ostagar is a mod even if you are using your console to get them.

It's not a mod if it's an exploit that is part of the game itself. When you get back from the Wilds you use the Ostagar map hole to get to Ishal early. From there Daveth and Jory will follow as long as you don't remove them from your active party. Also know as the Skip the Joining exploit.
