I get in close to force the nova when playing with power focus kits to get around the power block thing. Didn't know that about pets too. Good to know.
Nice vid.

Still plenty of scrubs (BSNers included) that could benefit from watching this.
Like me, apparently. ![]()

Should do one on how Praetorian Bubbles work because 4 years later people still don't get it
Also: phantoms. I'm tired of getting swarmed by those things because people have no idea what to do once the bubble comes up and just keep spamming incinerate or whatever. :/

Power block was clearly Bioware's most successful power. It completely destroys the average PUG. Reveals their stupidity, and usually results in me letting them bleed out so I can kill the damned things.

Nice explaining. Not much new knowledge except some numbers, but it's alwasy worth explaining things clearly and easily for everyone.
Just some slight nitpicking, but they actually can't teleport and instantly sync, there is some time that needs to pass, and that's enough to dodge out of the way if you're not suffering from latency. It's probably because they need to actually enter their sync kill stance before the sync, which is not their teleport phase, but their "walking and staring angrily at ya". I made a thread on this a long time ago...

Banshees work!?
Their experience in impaling enemy troops has led them to become natural acupuncture therapists.

Tell it to everyone who's had a banshee teleport next to them and insta grab

Yeah, unless "some time that needs to pass" translates to roughly 1.5 seconds, at which point you might still be in "wait, there's a banshee there?" mode.

It takes about .5 seconds for her to finish the animation and determine the next move. The sync kill immediately will pull you to her.Yeah, unless "some time that needs to pass" translates to roughly 1.5 seconds, at which point you might still be in "wait, there's a banshee there?" mode.

Then the "she can't instantly sync after teleporting" claim has been debunked, aw yeah. ![]()

My understanding is that once she enters teleport mode, she's not primed for a grab until she actually comes into proximity with someone. If you listen closely you can hear her say "UUURRRnnngghhhh..." and THEN she is primed. During the"UUURRRnnngghhhh..." you have enough time to get away from her, allowing her to go back to teleporting, and instantly sync killing whoever she gets close to next.
You can use this to troll teammates you don't like

I thought the weird noise happened while she was grabbing. Or am I confusing that with a different weird noise?

It's the same noise but the first occurance of it is the primer noise, the subsequent occurance of it is when she actually grabs someone
first occurance may be quieter than the second, i know to listen for it so i can't not hear it now

The breathing noise is only once you are in the sync animation.

There is no audio primer. Once she is in range in charged mode (2.3 meters) she will attempt the sync kill chance.
The breathing noise is only once you are in the sync animation.
Yeah, I'd assumed the unnerving gasping noise was from the character getting grabbed. I could be wrong; the trauma of hearing it happen to teammates a couple feet away so many times may have affected my memory. ![]()
