I only recently tried out Vanguard because I'm more prone to being a soldier. I suppose I thought it was too similar to Sentinel/mage. However, I've noticed that using biotic charge on an enemy on an upper platform allows Shepard to essentially "fly", or at least leap, to a higher level. I suppose it's not that different from Asari levitating, but it's interesting.
Side note, I've become a huge fan of Vanguard class. I always thought soldier was the only way but I've changed my opinion.
Vanguard in ME3 is a lot of fun and very viable. Based on recent streams I've been watching, it's become a very popular choice.
Well yeah, other classes are like: "Oh crap, my shields are gone! Better find some cover!"
Whereas the Vanguard is like: "Heck yeah, my shields are gone! TIME TO CHARGE!"
Vanguard is the strongest class in SP. Just Charge, Nova, Charge, Nova, Charge, Nova.
