I don't really expect any old NPC's to show up in Mass Effect: Andromeda, but I was still wondering which ones could show up. Technically.

 

Let's say the colonists leave between Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 (which is a big guess). The NPC's can't die in any way (poor Gianna Parasini) and can't be in the Milky Way during the events of Mass Effect 3 (not even an e-mail). Who is then left?

 

So far I can come up with:

 

Dr. Lizbeth Baynham (but I was wrong! she is mentioned in ME3. thanks capn233)

 

Lorik Qui'in

 

Knows about leadership, can have some higher rank with the Turians

 

Rita

 

She needs a whole new galaxy where Jenna can't take her tips

 

Hanar prophet

 

The species of Andromeda need to convert

But they're all small, unimportant characters. Why would they waste time writing them into ME:A?

Don't know. A little nod to the original trilogy. Many unimportant NPC's from the first two games were in ME3, people like that. And mainly, I'm just curious which ones could technically be there.

I wouldn't be surprised when Rear Admiral Mikhailovich (as commander of the First Ark Flotilla) made a surprise inspection of the Tempest.

Concerning Lisbeth, what happens if Shepard just drives past the bunker and skips the Jeong confrontation?

He's a War Asset if you let the Destiny Ascension be destroyed in ME1

I don't know about Lisbeth when you skip Jeong, but she never officially dies I think.

The informal militia from Zhu's Hope, said to be survivors of a savage geth attack several years ago, has repelled initial Reaper landing attempts with a level of wartime competence more common to seasoned platoons.

The colonies are using improvised weapons, as well as supplies salvaged from a defunct ExoGeni facility.

"This colony is our home," colony spokesperson Lizbeth Baynham said. "We've survived worse, and we know how to fight together."

The colony is expected to have time for full evacuation before more Reaper forces arrive.

I'm pretty sure none of the quarians that you encounter on their pilgrimages in ME3 can die - Kenn, Lia'Vael, and the one on Illium who's stuck under an indentured servitude contract. Kenn could be valuable if he knows a lot about the equipment he's trying to sell.

 

I don't think Officer Lang shows up after ME1. Not sure what kind of experience he has, but he probably knows something about search-and-rescue operations since he's helping Anderson comb through the Citadel tower at the end.

 

I think Han Olar always survives regardless of how Shepard handles the situation at Binary Helix, and he's a scientist (albeit a mentally disturbed one). Do we hear anything about him in ME3?

Many of the minor NPC's have been either killed or (possible) mentioned somewhere else in the series, like Admiral Mikhailovich, he can be mentioned in ME3 if you let the Council fry in ME1.

 

Seems there are tiny hooks throughout the series that can pop up if certain paths are followed so makes it difficult to find any that could be possible in MEA.

 

One might be that Turian at Noveria Lilihierax, only see him once in ME1 then no longer mentioned anywhere else in the series.

 

Think any possible mentions or even seeing anyone would be from ME1.

Ghehe. Yeah, there was lots of speculation about Aleena and Aria. However, it is an interesting theory without any proof. I've just watched the clip of Wrex telling the story and the one with Aria talking about her past. I think you have to headcanon the connection. Would be cool if Aleena somehow turned up in MEA, though. Then we know for sure.

Depending when the Ark leaves... what about Dominic Osoba? 

 

 

I find it strange he dissapears after Cerberus coup. Maybe he gets killed... or maybe he was dragged in another project... 

But that only works if the Ark leaves during ME3 before the ending
