So I have spent quite a lot of time in the Keep building my different world states, and although I mostly think it is a brilliant way of keeping track of my play-throughs there are a few options I think should be changed or added to better reflect the playing experience. I have seen some of these suggestions in other threads, but as far as I know there is no recent thread for discussing them all in one place. My suggestions only concern DA:I (as I think the choices in the first two games are well-represented in the Keep).

Incorrect choice dependencies:

  • The choice ”Blackwall remained imprisoned” can not, as of now, be paired with “Blackwall joined the Inquisition and left”, even though the effect of him remaining in prison is that he is not part of the Inquisition when victory is declared.
  • All “Friends with...”-options seem to be dependent on whether the respective companions’ personal quests are marked as completed or not. This should not be the case as the companions will not necessarily consider the Inquisitor a friend even if he/she finishes the quest. For example the quest can end in a way that is unfavourable to the companion or their opinion of the Inquisitor can change because of decisions made after the personal quest was finished.

Missing options in existing choices:

  • In Vivienne’s personal quest the Inquisitor has the choice to “betray” her and give her a normal wyvern heart instead of a snowy wyvern heart, but this option is not reflected in the Keep. It would give more depth if it was, as it is not the same thing as not doing her quest at all.
  • In Sera’s personal quest the Inquisitor has the option of just letting Harmond walk away, but this option is not reflected in the Keep. It would give more depth if it was, as it is not the same thing as not doing the quest at all or choosing to ally with Harmond.
  • Dorian can choose to stay with the Inquisition for many different reasons and it would give more depth to be able to specify which one: because he was in a romance with the Inquisitor, because he was close friends with the Inquisitor or because he was in a romance with the Iron Bull.
  • During the game the Inquisitor has the option to flirt with scout Harding and in Trespasser Vivienne recognises this as a romance. Add Harding to the options of possible romances.
  • The fate of the demon Imshael has three options in-game: that he is killed, that the Inquisitor makes a deal with him or that he is never encountered at all. As of now there are only two options in the Keep, and the option that Imshael is alive states that it is because the Inquisitor took his deal, which seems strange since it is possible that the Inquisitor never even met Imshael.

Choices that should be added:

  • Exploring Thedas: Did the Inquisitor earn a reputation as a dragon hunter?
    1. The Inquisitor did not earn a reputation as a dragon hunter.
    2. The Inquisitor earned a reputation as a dragon hunter.
  • Exploring Thedas: What happened to the Blades of Hessarian on the Storm Coast?
    1. The Inquisitor did not deal with the Blades of Hessarian.
    2. The Inquisitor won the loyalty of the Blades of Hessarian.
    3. The Inquisitor eradicated the Blades of Hessarian.
  • Exploring Thedas: Did the Inquisitor storm the Red Lyrium mines in Emprise du Lion to save the citizens of Sarnia?
    1. The people of Sarnia were left to their fates in the Red Lyrium mines.
    2. The people of Sarnia were rescued from the Red Lyrium mines.
  • Exploring Thedas: What happened with the scroll in Din’an Hanin detailing the events of the Exalted March against the Dales?
    1. The Inquisitor did not explore Din’an Hanin.
    2. The Inquisitor gave the scroll to the Chantry.
    3. The Inquisitor gave the scroll to the Dalish.
  • Exploring Thedas: What did the Dalish clan in the Exalted Plains think of the Inquisition?
    1. The Inquisitor did not deal with the Dalish clan.
    2. The Inquisitor had dealings with the Dalish clan but did not earn their respect.
    3. The Inquisitor won the respect of the Dalish clan.
  • Exploring Thedas: What happened with the horde of undead plaguing the ramparts in the Exalted Plains?
    1. The Inquisitor did not deal with the undead.
    2. The Inquisitor stopped the undead.
  • Operations: What happened to Clan Lavellan?
    1. The Inquisitor was not Dalish.
    2. Clan Lavellan remained largely untouched by the chaos.
    3. Clan Lavellan was killed.
    4. Clan Lavellan became members of Wycome.
  • Operations: What happened to the Valo-Kas company?
    1. The Inquisitor was not Tal-Vashoth.
    2. The Valo-Kas company remained largely untouched by the chaos.
    3. The Valo-Kas company had a lot to do after their leader became the Inquisitor.
  • Operations: How did the Inquisition deal with the Trevelyans spreading rumors?
    1. The Inquisitor was not a human noble.
    2. The Inquisitor’s relatives were left to spread what rumours they wished.
    3. The Inquisitor’s relatives were dealt with diplomatically.
    4. The Inquisitor’s relatives were dealt with underhandedly.
    5. The Inquisitor’s relatives were dealt with forcefully.
  • Operation: What happened to the Inquisitor’s contacts in the Carta?
    1. The Inquisitor was not a surface dwarf.
    2. The Inquisitor did not deal with his/her former Carta contacts.
    3. The Inquisitor had dealings with his/her former Carta contacts.

These were my suggestions and if you have others, leave them below! :)

I recently found a little hiccup in the keep regarding DA2. It allows you to choose the "Merrill died" option as well as the "restored/destroyed eluvian" option when, to my knowledge, if you have the final conversation with her after Marethari's death, she'll remain loyal to you no matter who you end up supporting.

Actually I would add more into choices regarding origins in Dragon Age Origins, or for example more into how you handled entire quests from Meeran and Athenril in Dragon Age II.

Not to mention why is Varania's fate not a choice regarding Fenris ...

Are you sure that Merrill will always back you up after dealing with her clan ? I thought it all depends on your role play, just like Anders could turn his back on you even in full friendship when you chose templars at the end.
