After what he pulled, he's lucky he didn't wake up in the new world as a sprite. Of course, no doubt the world was in low-rez from his point of view.
He realized he wasn't so tech-savvy as he'd like to believe, since Thedas greenscreened on him the last time he tried something, so he gave his graphic-orb to Corypheus. But we all know Corypheus is that guy who assures you he knows what he's doing only to have your stuff burst into flames and blame it on it for being of low quality.

There are a lot of "Solases" in DA2, check darktown for them. Due to engine limitations most of nameless elves wandering around are bald.
