Hi Guys,

On my last playthrough of the trilogy, I didn’t get KEI-9 in ME3.  This playthrough, I got him.  I was wondering what ‘triggers’ the appearance of the dog?

Any ideas?

Thanks

I believe they're giving away dlc stuff for free

Whaaaat... that's... that's not fair. I haven't gotten anything, and I've always wanted the gimp mask recon hood for ME2.

EDIT:

Oh, snap. Nevermind! Just checked the Origin store, all five promotional items are there for free download. Would have never noticed that if I didn't happen to check this thread.

Yeah it's pretty sweet.  I only thought it was ME1 at first as I'd never owned PS, yet it was there when I imported my retail key into Origin.  Then however, I noticed the Blackstorm singularity gun in ME2. Insterestingly though, not all DLC is free - there is still an alternate appearance pack that I haven't got and it's asking for 160 BW points still.

Thanks Guys,

But - you’re missing the point of my question.  I already have the DLC, but my last playthrought I did not have KEI-9, this playthrought I have, what triggers the appearance of the dog?

Third paythrough, first time I have the dog. Why?

Cheers

The "trigger" for KEI-9 is simply starting the game with the appropriate DLC installed. It has nothing to do with already playing the game once, or reaching a certain point. If it's installed, he should be there.

It's possible he didn't show up during the first playthrough thanks to a bug. Maybe you installed the bonus content DLC half-way through your first playthrough, and it messed with his appearance trigger. Either way, if he's appearing now, you should have no problem during all future playthroughs.

Actually... During my first pt with those items, I didn't get them. Reason? I was playing (from the beginning) offline. As soon as I got online, I got messages on my terminal and items were there (including KEI-9). Don't know if it's the same in your case, but that's one of possible reasons.
