I have romanced Cullen as a Mage, but not with my warden being a mage. Why does the warden matter?

Becuase he had a crush on the Mage warden, YOLO. I find it lame though, so I don't usually romance him with a Amell or Surana in the picture.

I can't believe that you played a male inquisitor twice and didn't romance Cassandra......

I played a male Inquistor four times, and two of those times I romanced Cassandra; the others I believe were Dorian and Josie...

Depends on your tastes really.

Some might say Cassandra, but her romance feels wrong and out of place. She lost her mage boyfriend of twenty or so years in the conclave, and she jumps in bed with another man rather quickly. If you play as a male mage, it feels like she falls in love with you because you remind her of her old lover...she shouldn't be emotionally available in my view.

AFAIK she and Galyan had been separated for a loooong time at this point. She's at or nearing forty years of age, and I think she said their relationship took place in her youth..?

His death weighs heavy on her heart because he was dear to her, but I'm pretty sure she moved on years ago.

On balance, between what I've played and what I've heard, Sera's romance appears to be of very high quality, for the most part. Though it's missing some important components if you play as an elf, so I'm not sure how highly I can truly recommend it.

I'm not overfond of any of the options honestly, but I guess Cassandra and Cullen are at the top for me.

I'm not in such a position of authority to declare who was the "Best" romance option.

My personal favorite was Cassandra. She's awesome, and for such a hard bitten character, her romantic arc was surprisingly sweet.

That is a hard question to answer since for everyone it is different.

For me, the answer is easily Josephine Montilyet.
