Hi everyone, currently the forum will only use HTTPS when you login into the site. Later today we'll be switching the site over to HTTPS for all traffic. Once we flip the switch, probably around 9AM Pacific time, please let me know if you experience any issues. Thanks!

The switch has been flipped. We aren't auto-redirecting all HTTP traffic to HTTPS yet but if you click any links within the forum it should use HTTPS.

This is a weird issue, but it seems like I can't post in Off Topic anymore. I hope this will be sorted out soon.

I don't know what may be related, so I'll mention what I've come across so far:

- I have trouble accessing notifications since the switch. This would happen occasionally before, where I would click the little symbol, and it would just hang with the little spinny thing, never bringing up the notification window. Since the switch it happens every time I try to access from the first page I log into (which is usually the Newsfeed.) I've been able to access it by clicking my profile and then re-trying the notification button from that page.

- A few people have mentioned the site being slow since yesterday in conversation, but I haven't noticed any specific slowdown, myself (I'm temporarily on a very slow computer, so I'd be less likely to notice if it did happen.)

- Someone mentioned a tampermonkey extension (a Mass Effect black and grey theme for the site) seems to have stopped working since yesterday, which I'm guessing might be because of the new protocol, but don't really know (I'll check myself when I'm back on my laptop with the same extension.)

Same, notifications are taking ages to load.  It's been happening for roughly 24 hours for me.

Yup, I can confirm I'm hearing from others that the problem is widespread.

For now, click on your profile when it hangs, then retry the button. That is working for me so far.

I don't know if the problem is with the pages themselves, and the profile page works, or if the system needs to reload a new page to get it working, but it seems to be one of those two.

I was having the same issue loading notifications, but I noticed it was because I was first accessing the forum from a bookmark without HTTPS in the address. I updated the bookmark url to HTTPS and notifications load as they should. I haven't noticed any other problems.

Yup, updating the bookmarks resolved the notification issue for me, as well.

I've noticed an issue with the mobile version of the forum. I can't switch to the Full version of the forum (which I do because the mobile version is terrible) unless I navigate to another page first.

Everything should be auto-redirecting to HTTPS now, even if you have a bookmark or type in HTTP.

I'm happy for you and I'ma let you finish but what team will you join in Pokémon Go when it reaches Canada because I'll join it if it

1. Means you'll really emphasize how much this forum needs a massive overhaul in how its operated, how its managed, whats available on it(OFF TOPIC COUGH) to the higher ups that handle this sort of thing

2. Your team name is Mystic

What's to say we aren't already playing? :) Justin and I are Team Mystic, I'm not sure if anyone else in our room has hit level 5 yet.
