That all being said, I have an unrelated question: "How is it that if you are in the extraction zone and die, but revive prior to being picked up it shows you as being dead still, on the list?"

 

Basically, whenever you're downed you're not classified as being alive until your character has finished the "getting back to their feet" animation.

 

However, if your timing is rather precise (and you're hosting or have a decent connection) you can wait until about 2 seconds are left, gel, then melee immediately, which will count you as being alive:  

 

 

Your character still does the get up animation after the melee, so it has to be timed so that the heavy melee is taking place when the counter hits 0:00.

Btw, if you're doing a challenge for the 200 waves, the waves that are counted are only waves 1 to 10. 

Extraction waves do not count. (Same goes for the Map challenges and Spectre mastery, for example.)

On your extraction issue, I've had that happen to me a few times. I heard from a more experienced player that if you're not standing fully erect when the counter runs out the game counts you as dead.

I completely disagree, ME2 and DA2 are the only good games on that list. Origins and ME1 suck once you take the nostalgia goggles off. Fallout is one of the most boring excuses for a game I have ever tried to play. And Skyrim makes Fable look good (and Fable was mediocre at best).

DA2 is a corridor. ME1 is pretty bad, because all the side quests are the same and look the same.

De gustibus non disputandum est.... for me ME1 and DAo are only decent games in their respective trilogies; ME2 and ME3 are just action shooters at least ME1 tries to be an RPG. Dao is a bit boring i admit but DAO2 is just a bore fest with recycled enviroments..

If i'm in a game where everybody is mostly killing stuff and doing good EXCEPT the host keeps dying, then I know sooner or later that guy is going to rage-quit even tho we are trying to revive him and keep him vertical. But when the host rage-quits, that throws my excitement and fun out the door...i will leave that game and not load back into it.

 

The only time i will stay is if it's wave 10 or 11...gotta get those creds...

 

If that case I always go back in because even if I'm the only one and get squashed in the next 30 seconds, I get any consumables back  ... and the points (to buy more).

 

I have given up caring about winning because it turns out I'm no judge about how well I'm doing and prefer to just enjoy myself.  I sometimes think I'm doing really well and then take a quick peek at the scores at the end of a round and find I'm in fourth place <shrug> I'm having fun, who cares?  Then sometimes I think I'm just doing pretty averagely and find I finish top.  Thing is there are a lot of people knocking about who can kill things a lot faster than I can even with my best kits.  I like playing with people and like doing things like setting up combinations and reviving people to keep going.  I like everyone to finish.  I'm not a min-maxer and don't overthink my builds.  I'll go and read about one if I'm regularly getting pasted but if they work, I'm fine.

Yea, I don't really know why the guy left and you are probably right that it wasn't about me. Well, I don't know about the Whiskey part, but there is my Starbucks coffee and sipping in between waves when there's a chance to. And, normally i don't care what others think  of me, like the gentleman who locked me in the reactor. Even on Facebook some of my so called friends will chastise me for saying what I think in not so many PC words. Here I would get banned.

From all these years playing ME3 multiplayer, it may be a glitch or latency issue, but I reckon that you have to be ALIVE at least for the last 3 seconds. If you are revived even at 1 seconds, it will show that you didn't get extracted.

Seems like you have to complete the res animation *and* the "getting up" animation for it to count.
