I wanted to start a new DAI game with the worst world state import, problem being what defines a worst world state?

My original state was a goody two shoes type in both dao and da2 (actual played games), and was curious as to what the world would look like if all my choices were made by greedy, evil, power hungry hero(?) or just a plain idiot.

Any suggestions?

I plan on a 'selfish' world, where many bad things happen.  However I once played a pure renegade in ME and found it to be very unsatisfying.  It taught me that I have to like my characters a certain amount, they need some redeeming qualities.  So now I sprinkle the bad decisions equally among different world states.

So the 'selfish' world is a mage fighting for freedom in DAO.  He's young and naive when he leaves the circle and is way too influenced by Morrigan.  She encourages him to let Connor be possessed, desecrate the ashes and let the Tevinter mages take the elves into slavery.

However he's good friends with Alistair, supports the mages, gets peace between elves and werewolves and ultimately realises Morrigan had an ulterior motive, so sacrifices himself to make amends.

Then a xenophobic Orlesian warden in DAA who looks down on the Ferelden 'dog lords'.

Finally a selfish Hawke who wants to spend all day in the Hanged Man playing cards with Varric and having a tumble with Isabela.  So he doesn't want to get involved with any politics and has to be dragged in to help.  Aveline hates him for it and punches him in the face.  He'll only help and do a quest if there's coin in it for him.

His good point is his loyalty.  He'll be very protective over Merrill and Bethany, fighting for the mage cause purely for Beth's sake.

I once had a pro-Templar Hawke who I assumed would be the worst, most 'evil', of the bunch.  But I was wrong, she was awesome.  I realised that the difference was that she wanted to help, you may just not agree with her methods.

The worst Hawke isn't her, it's a Hawke who doesn't give a damn and only cares about him/herself.

That's my worst world anyway.

I've also got a Hawke who is in love with Anders and fights for mage freedom, happily letting Kirkwall burn and making tonnes of misguided mistakes.  So the IQ (a human circle mage) has to come in and fix everything Hawke did, trying to convince Thedas that not all mages are rebellious and that they can be trusted.

Maybe some ideas for you there. :)

Leliana is killed during the Sacred Ashes quest

refuse the dark ritual from Morrigan

stab Morrigan as she walks through the mirror

make Loghain a Warden

let Anders live. a best world state would have him dead.

both Bethany and Carver are dead

treat everyone like crap

kill Caradin

kill Conner

don't help Redcliffe

When I played  DAI, with the above, minus letting Anders live, I got some interesting dialogue from Morrigan, Leliana and Varric.

I'd have Conner alive and possessed in a "worst" state myself. Feynriel and Amalia, too. Basically, anywhere you could make a deal with a demon, do it.

An objective worst world state  does not exist.

True, although I wonder, I made it were Leliana was killed in DA2 and your chat with her in DAi makes it almost feel like it was suppose to happen that way.

I made a world state which I used to play with a female elf who romanced Solas and therefore, I tried to create the worst possible scenario.

Origins choices:

The Hero of Ferelden died killing the Archdemon. He was a City Elf who romanced Leliana. Zevran, Wynne and Dog died, Oghren and Sten weren't recruited.

The Urn of Sacred Ashes was poisoned and I didn't help Redcliffe village. Werewolves slayed the Elves and Branka ended her own life. Harrowmont is King of Orzammar. The Circle Tower was purged.

DA2 choices:

Hawke romanced Anders and was always pro-Templar. Carver died in the prologue and Bethany was killed in the final battle. Isabela was given to the Qunari, Fenris went back to Tevinter as slave and Aveline didn't marry Donnic.

Didn't help anyone at all both in Origins and in DA2.

I technically put in a terrible world state once, but even that wasn't bad. They did a poor job accounting for much of it. Redcliffe still builds a statue to the Hof, despite letting them get eaten by zombies.... and Leliana and Cass still wanted the HoF as the Inquisitor despite killing Leliana and defiling their prophet.

Among other things. Best to just do more typical choices. It's consistent at least.

There is some difference in dialogue when talking with Varric, Morrigan and Leliana in DAI. That's all.

Seems that's the only change, dialogues,  I didn't help Redcliffe in DAO, and thought it would be a mess in DAI, but aren't any changes to the area between a helped Redcliffe and a none helped one.

Yeah, it's inconsistent like that. I like that what they did with Leli's dialogue when it's just about her, but her role with Cass searching for an Inquisitor doesn't add up.

That's why i said that the kind of story they tried to build is unsustainable for all the different choices they provided in DAO.
Redcliffe denizens building a statue for the warden if they decided to let the zombies to kill them all is ridiculous and leliana wanting to search the HoF in DAII if this defiled the ashes or killed her is even more illogical.

Origin for City Elf - sell Shianni to Vaughan, don't help Nessa at all, also blame Soris with you at the end.

Ostagar: Kill dog, don't feed this prisoner. Play as selfish, killing loving jerk.

Urn of Sacred Ashes: Desacriface Urn, kill Leliana. Kill Genitivi.

Companions: Slit throat of Zevran. Leave Sten in cage.

Circle: Agree with Cullen and kill every mage (bye bye Wynne).

Brecillian Forrest: Support warewolves and therefore never cure them - let them be mad dogs, make sure lovers won't get along (if you are playing Dalish sleep with one of them), tell widow how Danyla turned into warewolf. Kill halla.

Redcliffe: Leave village to be destroyed. Make Isolde kill Connor (I did it last time, was Allistair mad on me ... o man)

Denerim: Do Ignacio jobs, (if you play Rogue) don't help Slim Couldry at all.

Agree on blood magic ritual to boost yourself in Alienage (kill your own father Cyrion if you are City Elf)

Dlc's: Help Sophia Dryden, allow demon to possess either Amalia or Matthias. Burn down the Amaranthine and kill Architect, also sell Anders to templars.

Orzammar: Help Harrowmont gaining crown, let Branka make new golems, kill Caridin and Shale. Don't recruit Oghren. Kill Ruck after you agreed to lie to his mom. Help Burkel to get his temple, make Zerlinda leave her son on Deep Roads.

Landsmeet: Get Loghain to Wardens, make Anora sole queen, allow her to behead Allistair.

End of game: Make sure Dark Ritual was rejected, and order Loghain to sacrifice himself.

Dragon Age II - be an arrogant mage with praising for Tevinter culture or be afraid of mages pro-slavery bastard.

Intro: Make sure to argue with everybody, show your lack of compassion to both Leandra and Aveline.

Kirkwall arrival: Work for Athenril, be a dick to everyone.

Dlc's: Be ignorant towards Qun to Tallis - make her angry and argue about list, support Janeka to free Corypheus also be a dick to sibling while there.

Act I: Sell mages back to templars, allow Ginnis to take Seamus, tell Ghislain how Ninette was killed with gore details, kick out Keran from templars, don't kill Keldar - give him to judge, kill Idunna, blackmail Thrask about Olivia, sent Feynriel to Circle. Be of little compassion for Anders in his quest. Also brag about pro-slavery to Fenris. Take Carver into Deep Roads without Anders OR if you have Bethany make her Gray Warden. Don't care about Amaranthine conspirators. (If you made Bhelen king) Sell Renvil to Carta Thugs. Leave Sophia Dryden to possess more imbeciles on coast. (if you sided with elves in Origins) Allow Danyla daughter to kill ex-warewolf.

Act II: Support Petrice movement, tranquil Feynriel - when he doesn't want to, kill Javaris, don't kill Gascard, don't care about Hubert, leave guardswoman to herself against raiders, aree with Bella taking Tome of Koslun and then sell Isabella to Arishok, make Varric kill Bartrand with companion of Anders, don't care about Pol in Merrill mission, take money for Athenril from her kid smugglers and leave them to their sad fate. Agree on taking power from Tarohne tomes. Don't care about Keran debt. (If you killed Nathaniel in Awekening) Save Ivan instead of Merin. Kill elven apostates for gold with mercenaries. Tell Viscount to burn qunari bodies.

Act III: Sell Fenris to Denarius, kill Merrill's clan - make sure she will destroy Eluvian, let Varric keep Idol piece from mansion, do everything to estrange Aveline to Donnic, leave Nathaniel in Deep Roads (don't care about quest), make sure Charade will give you gem instead of reunion with Gamlen, gave Orsino people to Meredith instead to fuel her paranoia, agree to help Anders with planting explosives in temple, Emil sent back to Circle, don't do anything regarding Hybris lair, don't kill dragon in Bone Pit, execute Anders and support templars at the end. If you have Circle Bethany then allow Meredith to kill her.

I will add more if I will remind myself more bad decisions to those.
