Yeah I'm the same, I can even get on second place on a Gold game if I play with pugs and ONE other bsn'er or AHF'ER. The other bsn'er or Ahf'er ofc gets the first place.
But with four ahf'er..... I will ALWAYS end in the buttom lol.
You say BW is OP but somehow Javelin on the GI is less OP? With the right setup, Javelin GI is a complete monster.
Well with BW u can fire 3 shots before reloading.. It feels to me a bit OP compared to jav GI; with jav GI if u miss a phantom u are fooked, with Bw if u miss her once she is still pretty much dead in the next few secs

That's the difference between being user-friendly and skill-intensive. A good Javelin GI is just as good, if not better, than a BW one.
I just don't see the point in a sniping GI (outside of GI Jav, but even then, he wouldn't be my first choice for the gun), the character just doesn't feel like it suits it, half his stuff is designed around inaccurate close-range weapons. Piranha and Hurricane, for example. His Proxy Mine is incredibly difficult to use at range, and so its usefulness is quite limited by the playstyle of sniping, and Hunter Mode is essentially wasted on Snipers.
I wont say it's bad, it's not, I just don't feel Sniping fits the power options available to him.

Javelin's innate piercing, plus GI's geth weapon damage bonus (for which Javelin qualifies), plus weapon passives, plus Hunter Mode make it an almost unrivaled sniper build imo. Just slap on some phasic rounds and go to town.
i forgot to metion that i am not a skilled player so a user firendly BW seems OP when compared to a skill demanding jav
See the above link for how a skilled sniper pulls off that kit. Thing of beauty.
BW is a wonderful weapon and I love it with all my heart and soul, but I think it can be a bit of a crutch. I know I'm guilty of concentrating less on landing precise shots when I know I can just try again.

Those headshots tho.
I havent got the Geth Infiltrator yet... is it good???
Well the GI is the all around weapons master in the game, highly mobile, debuff on demand from PM, very good passives and HM.
Basically all guns work on him even though he's a glass canon so close range guns require a bit more care and finesse.
A GI/Javelin is among the most powerful combinations in the game, arguably better than a GI/BW, when you combine the wall haxing possibilities from HM.
In some very specific scenarios a DAI/BW is more powerful (see Freelancers sub 20 solo with that set-up), but overall in a team game a GI/Javelin will outshine it as he don't need to adjust slow powers like the recon mine all over the map.
HM is an amazing power for sniping, increased mobility for quick repositioning, incredible hall haxing capability from the speed and vision evolution, increased rate of fire and damage bonuses.
In general outside of very specific solo scenarios the GI is the undisputed DPS king in the game.
That's a new word - not a spelling mistake.
Definition: Unbotttum: seemingly away from the bottom of the pile; the appearance of pulling one-self out from quicksand. The sheer act of self-determination.
Sentence examples :
- Be careful Sammy - if you keep playing with your wraith you'll unbuttom yourself.
- Didier unbuttomed himself from OP characters and showed his natural fighting skills.
- a low CP Pug unbuttomed himself from his peers, during the game, so my finger memory sent him a friend request before my mind could interfere.
- Boris admired Donald so much that he mirrored every behaviour imaginable. Only later, it was discovered that he unwittingly also unbuttomed himself from common reality.
- The DAWG couldn't help it- for a moment she got so immersed in me3 mp, that she appeared unbottumed for six games straight in a row.

HM is not wasted in the slightest on a sniper. Why would it be? They benefit from it just as much as any other gun, except for the accuracy bonus.
Plus, the Javelin gets the Geth weapon bonus, which is insane cause it's multiplicative, allowing a GI to OHK any enemy in the game with a bodyshot on gold, exception made for the 4 bosses, Brutes, Scions, and maybe Possessed captains.
As for the PM being hard to use at range, well yeah. But the fact is that you don't need to use it at all at range because of the point I just made. It's only useful against bosses, and against those it's easy to use at range too. Against most enemies it's mostly useful as a CC power when you're close to the enemy.
Because who said that you cannot be close to them if you're sniping? Snipers hit just as hard at 3 m as they do at 100.
Generally speaking, I understand your feeling, but if you look closer, the only thing you're actually "wasting" is the accuracy bonus, which is indeed a "waste", but you're trading that for... Not really having any need for a bonus in that regard at any range.
All in all, it works, trust me. If you've got a very good GI Javelin in the lobby it's gonna be hard as hell to kill faster than he does, cause no matter where you are on the map, you're always gonna find the head of that enemy you're about to kill blowing up right in front of you.
But hey, if you're still not convinced, I guess this vid might do:

I like the Javelin better on the GI and the BW better on the Drell Infiltrator. On the GI, the Javelin does a crapton of damage, and if you need to shoot a Phantom, you can just launch a proxy mine to freeze her. The Proxy Mine debuff only affects a small area though, so a lot of time all three BW shots won't get the debuff. That's where the Drell shines, because the Recon Mine debuff will work for a huge area, and you can get the debuff with every shot (and then detonate the mine if necessary to clean up anything that isn't killed with your rifle). But that's just me, I'm far from great with either the Javelin or BW.
Have you been spying on me? I pretty much only run Barrel/Choke/APAmmo Piranha on my GI. With Armoured Compartments. Because sometimes, the enemy must die, and it must die now. Then along comes wave 8 and I realize I forgot that I had AC, and still have 8-9 missiles left.
It's hard to beat the GI/Piranha on a closed map like Glacier, White, etc. You have wallhax to see everything in a room and make up your strategy before you even enter, then you have Proxy Mine to stagger multiple enemies, and you can take out multiple enemies without reloading. Other guns may have a higher theoretical damage potential, but the Piranha is way more EZ mode.
EDIT: GI-Piranha is my "try hard" build. If I absolutely, positively want to score 1st for some reason, I use the GI-Piranha.
Mmmm, now that we're talking about the Javelin. I actually have a collection of unreleased shots I took a looooong while ago. I had the intention of making a compilation out of them, kind of the best Javelin shots I've taken. But a long time ago I realized that making such a compilation in the right way actually takes a lot of time. And I currently don't have that time, nor do I think I'll have it in the near future.
So I was thinking, rather than have those shots get completely wasted, I could release them as a very very basic compilation, without any effect, sync or whatever, just a sequence of ME3 short vids with some pretty sick (or so I think) shots. That would take a reasonable time, and maybe people would enjoy it just the same?
What do you guys think? Would you enjoy watching it? Or should I just put those vids to rest on my hard drive for good?

I'd love to see them.
The Javelin was my first UR, and the QMI the first character I felt comfortable playing with.

Girls want to see you manipulating your long gun Deerber ! Maybe some boys too.
Seriously, upload it, one-hit kills never get old.
Well the GI is the all around weapons master in the game...
Dammit, I want to believe that, I really do, but I have an entirely opposite opinion. There is no weapons master in this game. Every kit can use every weapon in a different way. "GI all the things" is a famous Bsn answer I never really understood. Other classes are as equal or better than GI. Example: TSol with anything. Destroyer is an excellent weapons platform. Also in the past I've had GI's wasted all of their medigels and ragequit in shame because they thought they could match my poor old HSol's survivability and close/any range versatility. Now, Javelin can easily handle Platinum bosses on its own, I just plain love it with Adrenaline Rush.
Not to mention that GI Claymore is nowhere near HSol Claymore. I will admit that GIs are efficient killers and they can be of great help in many chaotic games, but I want to be honest here, I've never been "threatened" by it. Just my two cents, as always.
