Well. Then you are not alone. A well known visitor to AHF and BSN did exactly that in June 2016- after 4 years of playing he was "assisted" to complete that solo banner . If he did it out of silliness, or to willfully mod it (a personality trait with a compulsive disorder to cut all possible corners in life), and publically proclaimed it, it would've been more bearable. no jinxer anyway plays in a public lobby with a big red label over it , reading ("unfair advantage to some, inside"). But we are where we are.
So apologies to the care bear race PC race. Even long term players (proverbially not a DAWG) on console does'nt walk the walk and talk the talk. Painful.
So if you're scared, OWA, know that there are at least one that still haven't shaken fright. Where there is one there are many more...

A friend offered to do this for me for a platinum solo, but I told him I'd do it legit or not at all.

Four years later I still haven't done it. >_<;;;;;

Had a grill over weekends with friends- pulled pork on coleslaw- 18 hours on smoker- ( divine means more than a bunch of grapes ,hehe) . Sorry vegetarians strictly prohibited -for their own good they could chew on a salad leaf or a carton box- whichever tickle their buds most.

The grill sounds nice, you could easily make veggies on it though, I love grilled vegetables!! A shame you'll still be gone for another week, I've missed playing with you

Then the time is pretty bad, but the first time you just want to get it done. You'll be able to easily improve your time in your next solo.

Pah. No time is bad for the first solo in your life, even on bronze.

I believe many have failed their first solo or solos.  I think my first solo was much longer than that with a juggernaut, but still I was pretty damn pleased with myself that I actually finished it.   Iirc, even wrote about it here. 

 

Can consider it a starting point, and be prepared to even worse times with some kits, or just not making it if something goes badly. On any difficulty, when still a newbie.

Congrats, General. It's a nice feeling to know you can actually hold your own, isn't it. I felt it as a confidence boost that I don't have to worry even if all Pugs die on some wave,  I can handle it.

Haha im not sure if its increased my confidence but im glad its over! I kept hiding behind my Combat Drone like hellppp meeeee and then it would go and kill all the husks

What ill take away from it is that doing a game by myself is very stressful and very... consumable consuming... and if everyone dies on a wave ill be ok as long as there are no devices to activate and if I have a friend to hide behind

My first solo was bronze. It's where we all started.

I think it was that weekend challenge where you had to complete a match without using any medigel/ops etc.

My untrust for Pugs was strong.

Even then.

Also keep in mind that some kits will just generally outscore others, especially if someone competent is using it. If your build is attacking mostly single targets at a time, then you'll have to kill very quickly just to keep up with a kit that can AOE a group of enemies consistently

There is nothing artificially difficult about this game. You could give someone a Juggy with a Reegar or a TGI with the Cancerous Cerberus Harrier and they will do A-OK in Gold.

 

Just find some kits that you like and stick with them, stop worrying about your score. This isn't a PvP oriented multiplayer.

yeah engie is a very good kit, was my favotite then untill i  unlocked her majesty the huntress! and locust is a decent gun on bronze and silver.
