Why would the Hanar get to dictate whether or not some Drell can leave?
The Drell going to Andromeda?

The Compact, lol. I kid, The Compact doesn't work that way.

Besides Hanar are the only recorded MW species to uplift and save another. Salarians don't count used Krogan for War. Asari don't count either helped Elcor but not how the Hanar saved the Drell.
Plus has an unique culture and more chance of exploring planets with mostly water I think.

I imagine some of the drell would wanna leave and find a new planet that doesn't **** up their lungs pretty bad.
Also, if we're talking which races make the most sense to bring along why would anyone take the krogan?

Environment testers that's why. The Krogan can take the most dangerous worlds and call it home.I imagine some of the drell would wanna leave and find a new planet that doesn't **** up their lungs pretty bad.

Anyway I'm sure they sent out ships after the Genophage arc and cure. The only way it makes sense that the Krogan will work with the others. But that's another topic.

If it's after the genophage it'd mean the krogan breed crazy fast, would the other races be willing to deal with that? And I dunno if the arks are too big to trigger their "enclosed spaces" aggressiveness but if they aren't there'd be that to contend with too.
Also, the drell have eidetic memories which I imagine would be invaluable in scouts.

Too many unanswered questions tbh. I mean that's the only way I can see Krogan going is post and cure genophage. If it's after the genophage it'd mean the krogan breed crazy fast, would the other races be willing to deal with that? if you wipe the Geth out, there could be infiltration units left
Unlikely. Legion was the only geth who could operate independently, and he was one of a kind. All other geth need a network.

How'd you figure that?
I mean even if you wipe the Geth out, there could be infiltration units left and as long as a few of them survive the whole race isn't dead (they don't have problems with incest, they are software, so they can copy each other and build new plattforms for them to inhabit easily!)
I hope they have the flashlights along
(Who better to watch the ships during the journey...I'd rather trust an AI than a stupid VI-System (AI is creative, VI isn't so it can't solve any problems - especially if it freezes up!)
greets LAX
ps: The Drell...well, I don't think all of them worship the Jellyfish (I mean come on, we've seen two of them, can't look at them as representing a whole race - particularly because Thane was an assassin (don't think most of them are killers!))
If one wanted to utilize an AI to oversee the trip to Andromeda, the people involved would sooner just create their own than outsource to some faction of robots that nearly wiped out their creators and worshipped the reapers.

I'd look with a lot of suspicion towards any ark project that decided to pick and choose which species get to go - anyone in danger of extinction via Reapers deserves a chance. However, I'm assuming that not everyone chosen for the ark is a soldier or otherwise trained for dangerous missions, so some of the species might only be represented as civilians that we rarely see. I doubt we'll have a drell or hanar squadmate, but we might see them walking around in a commercial section of the ark ship, or get sidequests from their civilian leaders.

I wouldn't be worried. The drell only need permission of Aria. Andromeda is just a name of a bar on Omega. ![]()

What good is a Drell under fire in a barren land? He's got no air ducts to hide in. No cover for his precious Sniper Rifle. On the plus side though I guess there wont be any swords flying around out in the middle of nowhere to run at, instead of getting out of the damn LOS so you can open fire!!! But then again I suppose that's a good reason to bring the bastards along with you right bioware?! Preventing the inevitable genocide that would have befallen their people everytime they accidentally opened the knife drawer putting forks away is probably a good thing right? We'll just have to be careful what we serve for dinner on tuesdays or we might find them headbutting steak knives in the mess hall again!!!

Pretty much every race will be there in some form in the game, I would imagine. If the Andromedus Imitative is an inter-galactic project with the support of the Council behind it, then every race on the Council would be present, along with the others that we've seen. Now, will we see tons of Hanar walking around? Doubtful, but they'll probably be mentioned. I would be surprised if we didn't get a Drell companion somewhere along the line, especially if you find a desert planet where they can live. That would be pretty neat.

No he wasn't. There is the Geth VI that exists if Legion is dead, so the Geth built more than one model of that kind of platform. If they could build two, they could build more.

No geth in Andromeda. It's pretty obvious. We leave pre ME3. Nobody trusts a geth. If in between ME1 and 2 nobody would let geth on the ark after the citadel attack. No he wasn't. Nobody trusts the Krogan before Mass Effect 3 either, and yet they are going.
They can make something work, like a few platforms approach the project and explain the situation like Legion does with Shepard. The people in the project accept the explanation and keep the Geth's involvement secret, since while they trust them they know a lot in the galaxy won't.

Yeah, I'd imagine they're bringing Krogans incase of any Rachni type aliens.

they're Krogan. They're not a threat. Trusting or not trusting a Krogan is one thing, this is geth we are talking about. We need room for Andromedans anyway. Don't get dumb on me here. The ones going to Andromeda are volunteers. Do you actually believe we are just gonna let geth on board the ark when we consider the the enemy? It can't work. In between 1 and 3 the geth are seen as hostile. Before that they are never seen. It's like saying let's let the rachni on. But how could that work if we choose to kill them or not? It's deluded thinking they'll join us.Nobody trusts the Krogan before Mass Effect 3 either, and yet they are going.

Wrex showed us Krogas can be reasonable and level-headed.
Even the Blood Pack Krogan who fought alongside Jimmy Vega turned out to be sensible and honorable.

Great stuff. Kills things with style, then uses his eidetic memory and explains solipsism to Shepard.
The only problem is L'Etoile left after 2, and I fear the inheritors may not be as "adept" as writers.

If it is more about the bravest and brightest going where no Citadel race has gone before... uh, maybe we'll get a stowaway. Who somehow found a free stasis pod.

I think it depends on the philosophy behind the ark project. If it's some bleeding heart "every race deserves a chance for a new home" initiative, then a sizeable contingent of Drell will probably be hauled along.

I think this will be the case.
Bioware has a reputation for being very responsive to fan wants. For whatever reason their games attract many mentally SJW liberal types.
