It better look with my setup. I am graphics freak and I love eye candy.

Depends on the devs. We all know that consoles generally drag graphics down to prevent themselves from melting. Check the witcher 3 downgrade... the engine could have been pushed further and optimized even better but it turned out to be a port the last minute with horrible water rendering. Game still looks incredible though

I'm not expecting photorealistic graphics due to space opera/aliens setting.

however, E3 reveal to me was disappointing still.  I have set my expectations low accordingly.

The graphics in Dragon Age; Inquisition satisfied me enough for the most part.

If Andromeda can improve upon this I'd be satisfied.  I'd rather them focus on quest design, story, characters, content, etc.  I want another game where I have over 100 hours of play time like I have with most previous Bioware games.

I've never really been obsessed with graphics, personally. So long as ME:A looks "current gen" aka average for 2016, I will have zero complaints in that department.

Using Battlefield 1 footage is a bad idea. Games are almost always scaled down from their pre-release showings, unless it's not an especially advanced game.. See: Watch_Dogs or The Witcher 3.

I expect the graphics to be perfectly reasonable to most, while the 'master race' spend a solid year bitching about how blades of grass aren't up to their standards.

This is the burden  we must endure,we demand graphical perfection.  (You should join us,  the grass is greener on this side of the fence :P)

As long as they look good and look better than Inquisition, then I'll be fine.

I'm more concerned aboit how/if it'll run on aging machines. I ran DAI fine on medium settings but the machine is five years old.

I'm not really worried about this. If it looks better than the original trilogy, which in my opinion aged fairly well, then I'm happy.

Agreed.

To be fair, in TW3' case, a downgrade was blatantly obvious. Only a handful of computers, at best, could have run the game as it was presented in one of its trailer. It was just way too far ahead of the industry curve to be realistically run on anything but 5000$+ super-rigs.

Whereas Watch Dogs apparently had some of its PC options hidden in the game, which when activated made it look closer to the E3 version.

I just hope Bioware does a much better job with the hair. Having some fairly high quality faces plastered with such low-res hair didn't look so good at all.

I'd be happy with RotTR level graphics.

Not going to happen but you can dream.

I don't even care, as long as bad graphics don't make it unplayable. Which it obviously won't, anyway.

Perhaps. But, the potential is definitely there. Especially if DX12 is supported.

It will be.  All the consoles are supporting it, I don't see why they wouldn't go without supporting it.

I think if the graphics aer on par with what I've seen in Battlefront I'll be happy. I've not played Battlefront as I don't do multiplayer games but had that game had a singleplayer campaign I'd have probably jumped on it as the graphics do look pretty awesome.

For Mass Effect Andromeda 2 I want to see battlefield 1 graphics.

Never take pre-release graphics for granted. The effects are often enhanced for presentation's sake.

I remember they said it would look more like Battlefront than Battlefield 1, which is more than fine by me. Bioware doesn't need to be an industry leader graphics wise, and Inquisition already looked pretty good, even if not as good as the TW3s or MGSVs of this world.

Art design is often more important than pure graphical horsepower anyway, and Mass Effect traditionally has some pretty good design.

ME consistently stole from the same iconic art well that helped a lot. I don't know if MEA will follow suit with this new galaxy. The concept art suggest not to me.

I remember back when I was all about graphics in games, that was late 90's early 2000's. :)

Nowadays graphics have become so freaking good that a hardly care about it anymore, I'm perfectly sure the graphics in Andromeda will blow me away.  I'm much more worried about game play, story and design choices.

Bio is rather quiet about the purported amazing graphics of ME:A since the game is no longer limited by old gen consoles.

Yes, there is that first trailer and then the last video from EAPLAY. Still, the graphics awesomeness is lacking. However, DICE + FB3 may have outdone themselves with Battlefield 1.

The video footage was taken from an ALPHA version and shows amazing weather effects. I'm expecting similar effects with ME:A, when we explore the planets. Here is the link:

One caveat. The captured gameplay of Battlefield 1  played on a PC using a GTX 1080 graphics card. When the Bio/EA marketing machine takes off and show us super eye candy, I bet they won't mention the hardware .

It's an RPG, as long as it looks at least as good as ME2 (maybe with better character animations - no: Not "I want my female character to walk like a stripper!" (don't care about that at all because frankly I don't even notice females walking all that differently from men, unless they over do it and want to be seductive - also: Don't care for a female hero, I just want to be able to play a hero who happens to be female (so no special consideration given to either gender, no special treatment etc.)) - like facial expressions more akin to real people (maybe use motion-capture?)) I am satisfied :)

It's not a Battlefield or Call of Duty, it doesn't need to be uber flashy (it's also no action-blockbuster, an RPG is a character driven thing - flashy graphics (or effects - especially in movies!) are often used to blind players to the fact that the game isn't that great and that's something I frankly DO NOT WANT!)

greets LAX

I think most 'space-based' games of recent years have more than acceptable graphics and i expect MEA to be as good:

The leaked footage that was ment to be from a couple years back looked good to me. Pretty sure it will be fine, graphics wise.
