Which materials Solas used to create the Orb?
I heard that there are others in Thedas and that pretty much their function is to accumulate energy but what kind of materials can accumulate that quantity of fade energy?

Who the hell knows? He made it back in the days of Arlathan, so the stuff might not even be available anymore.

Solas isn't the only one ever to make an orb. During some banter with Dorian, Dorian (who keeps trying to reach out to Solas) tells him that in Tevinter, there are murals of early magisters holding orbs very similar to the one Corytheus was using, and asking him if it could be similar. Solas says something to the effect of, "maybe, your people stole much from mine."

If the Tevinter discovered the way to create these orbs, maybe they still know how. Who would have guessed that the people who once claimed to have destroyed the Elves may have wound up preserving a lot of their knowledge.

They also may merely have salvaged elven orbs.

Wrong color, texture and odor. Nuggalope droppings are a much closer fit. ;)

Apparently nobody paid attention to the trespasser codex showing an orb is made from solid essence of the fade.

I doubt the orbs came with instructions. Someone was clever just to figure out how they worked, at the very least. And as the Tevinter multiplied and spread, they would have needed more orbs. My guess is they'd have to figure out how to make their own eventually, just to meet the demand. Pale imitations, at least.

I think that what Solas implied to Dorian was the ancient Magisters didn't make them themselves but probably scavenged them from elven ruins or obtained them through conquest.   Whatever they were made from I doubt it is available now, which is why Solas was so upset at the loss of his orb.   Even if the material was available, then the magic used to create it is not possible in the current world.   I think also that Solas was being deliberately vague when he said that "may be" they were the same/similar.    I think Solas would have noted the information because they likely were exactly the same thing.    Which is why I think one of the plot lines in the next game will be trying to locate an orb in Tevinter to prevent Solas getting his hands on it.  My money is on it being located in the ruins of the buried city in Arlathan Forest.

There's no indication that they had very many.

Link? I don't recall reading that and I can't find any reference in the Codex entries on the Wiki.

But weren't there (dark) orb-like balls rolling around in the Vir Dirthara? I swear I saw ball like things in there.

Which materials Solas used to create the Orb?

5 Fade touched Obsidian,

12 bear hides,

3 Dragon scales

and 16 elfroot.

The elf root wasn't for the actual crafting but he just got high on it beforehand.

Yes, they were. I can't remember which section of the library, but someone was using them as bowling balls and the dragon and wolf statues as pins. I think it's the area where you find Varric's next installment of Hard in Hightown that he swears he didn't write, on the outside rim. Not positive though.

The library was sustained by Orbs.

Silverite and Dragonbone. It's just tinted afterwards.

Bloody Elvhen had tinting table way before Inquisition figured the technology out for themselves!

Speaking of Orbs, I wonder if Ancient Tevinter were able to (roughly) replicated the process?

In the raw fade we see this:

tumblr_njyh3kz3wi1s31mq6o6_1280.jpg

It's no where near as refined as the Elvhen Orb, but seeing how Tevinters liked to recreate as many Elvhen things, then Hypothesis this might be one of the creations? Since it's attached to an apperatus, perhaps it was meant to tear open the veil?  Especially since you're give the ring asundering after lighting up these things
