"I still play though its been awhile since I've been concentrating on the Uncharted games on the ps4.

I might do a quick trilogy run tomorrow. Doesn't take long "

A trilogy run on a single day?

Is it possible?

Do you have some track record of your fastest trilogy?

What I find most impressive is that you do what you do on a console. I mean, I can´t play ME1 on a console without making changes on the inventory every 10 minutes. This makes it very tiresome for me. Thank Heavens for the PC version having the cheat console commands option so I can bypass inventory altogether and jump straight to fun.

I know that ME1 requires very few missions (and no side-quests) to be made, and that ME2 can be done very fast if you just recruit kasumi, zaed, grunt, mordin, garrus and jack and then do several quick side-missions, but it still takes a few hours.

Indeed I think my fastest run is about 2 weeks but that's all 3 games without stopping. I do have a Shep on the go although I've only got ME3 to do with him. But once I've finished that one I was thinking of doing a female Adept run alongside the Witcher games. Just temporarily ditching DA in favour of the Witcher instead so I can finally get a proper run in on the Witcher games as well. I keep promising myself I'll do it and then keep putting it off so once I'm done with my current DAI run that'll be it until I've done that at least. I do have other characters I want to do on DAI but I'm going to hold off on them until I've gone through the Witcher games.

Nope. ME3 left such a bad taste in my mouth that I can't even go back to MEs 1 and 2. Andromeda would have to be a ridiculously great title to make me want to go back and replay the series, and even then I'd likely skip the third game in its entirety.

Yeah. While I'm quite looking forward to MEA, the end to ME3 killed the series for me. I tried once to replay it but I couldn't. It turns out of the destination is a vat of acid the journey matters a lot less.

I wanted to give myself plenty of time before Andromeda's release to re-familiarize myself with the universe without going overboard.

Poor idea considering they're abandoning the universe you've known and loved in the original trilogy.

No and I'm not planning to do it either.

Reason is simple. I played DA:O and DA2 in anticipation of DA:I and finished DA2 about a month before Inquisition launched. What a horrible experience when I played Dragon Age Inquisition. The PC controls that I was used to from the first two games were completely changed..... let alone other game mechanics.

I anticipate game mechanic changes with Andromeda and wish to avoid "reinforced' expectations, by replaying the trilogy before game launch...

Basically. It turned my favorite game ME1 from a "This game is fantastic and I can replay it a ton" to a "What is even the point?"

Only way I'd be able to replay it is if I pretended the third game didn't exist, but its hard to go back to those two games prior and ignore the memories of what comes afterward.

I struggled through ME1 a couple times (forgoing all the ores and minerals we were suppose to find and only got all the Asari writings) so far, would be much more enjoyable if the Mako could fly, even like the hammerhead be better then what it is. Also using the M.E.U.I.T.M. mod makes ME1 much better looking to play.

No matter how many times I start ME2, I still can't just up and leave Cerberus at the start like Illusive man says I could, never given the option, Heavy sigh..

ME3 sits unfinished, several times, can't do that last part without reliving the first time where I left the game for several months, I did finely do one with the extended DLC but that was just a band-aid over a severed arm.

Now I am running DA and will pop back to ME again in the coming months

Pretty much because I'm sort of bored with Fallout 4 right now.

I haven't yet, but will probably closer to the end of the year. I can't decide between replaying my "headcanon" Shepard or starting a new character. I also have a save in ME2 for the Jack romance that I've never finished/imported into 3.

I believe I finished it in about 14 hours.

All on the ps3. ps3 master race

ME1 - 3 hours 26 minutes
ME2 - about 5 hours. I don't recall the exact time at the moment
ME3 - never timed it, but if I had to guess, it would be about 5.5 hours. That was doing a couple things as well that I didn't have to do

Not yet. Probably in October some time. Too many backlogged games (and way too many backlogged movies/books, not enough time) to get to it until then. I'm really looking forward to it, though, especially after discussing ME2 so much recently. Can't wait to see the inanity of that game's (non-)plot look even worse with Andromeda's ark expedition adding to the context.

ME3 > ME2.

Thanks for the explanation Mr. themikefest. Really awesome. I think ME3 can be beaten by only doing one side-mission during the krogan arch (either to rescue the turian or deal with the rachni), and one side-mission during the geth arch, (legion/vi or the mission quarian admiral) but personally I have never tried it.

ME3 wrecked the suicide mission for me which was my favourite end run of any Bioware game. For all the ridiculous nonsense of ME2 that suicide mission was great, and completely wasted on ME2

The selection mechanics and music of the Suicide Mission made it plenty of "epic" fun.

The actual writing and design around most of it were rough goings, though, excluding the Long Walk.

I've been thinking about it...I'm pretty preoccupied with DA:2 for now, I think.

ME2's Suicide Mission is the best end game of any Bioware title I've played. Should've been what occurred in ME3's ending. Though ME3 would've still been too ridiculous outside of the ending for me to be excited for more Mass Effect.

ME1 I can replay no problem, I have almost every year. I recently tried to replay ME2, and I was surprised at how clumsy everything felt. It's really a crap PC port. where ME1 is not. I think that's part of the problem. The other issue is the extreme linearity of the levels. So I'll play through ME1, I'll slog through ME2, but I won't touch ME3 with a ten foot barge pole. The're no reason to revisit that disaster of story telling.

Agreed.

Why would they change the PC controls?

They are terrible in comparison, and I hope this same thing doesn't happen to MEA.

I've never pushed my daughter in any direction,  I will support her with anything she chooses.

She plays games so there is hope. She has  played both Portal games and loved it. She gets angry when I don't let her watch me playing mature games. She is incredibly focused in what she likes doing.

...

First: you sound like an awesome parent. ;)

Second: That gave me a Perfect Dark flashback (dating myself here). I almost wasn't allowed to play it because it was rated M while I very much wasn't, but because it's really not that graphic and I had already been playing with my older brother (who was't all that helpful in my defense, because siblings), I was allowed to continue. We also tended to use paintball mode to replace blood spatter, because that was funnier. (Is that morbid?) That game is tame by today's M standards though. (forgive my randomness.)

I agree that the Suicide Mission is poorly placed in the trilogy, but also, I don't think it really put up much of a challenge either. I've also been replaying the trilogy in anticipation for ME:A, and I can just breeze through the entire mission now that Shepard & co are all-powerful, but the enemies are mainly just your more basic baddies. You'd think that the Collectors would have kept some Praetorians or something more substantial guarding their home base. The OST that plays throughout is stellar though.

Nope - still can't do it (did a run of ME2 a few weeks ago, but I didn't finish it...couldn't...ME3 ruins it for me, that's EXACTLY why I love it that Mass Effect: Andromeda is a fresh start (more or less)), I still feel cheated when only thinking of ME3 (I feel bad even seeing the game's DVD-Case, that's why I've moved it from "best games" on my shelf to somewhere where I have to rarely see it!)

I know that a lot of people will think that I should shut up already, but ME was so great and for me it's like if George Lucas would have made pink EWOKS kill Emperor Palpatine in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (Star Wars fans - like me (who still hates Disney for destroying the EU!) - would have been outraged and rightfully so!) and I just can't let it go!

greetings LAX

ps: I don't know yet if I will try again!

I'm playing multiplayer at the moment because:

I've played ME1 so much that I can't be bothered to go through it right now.

I can't get into ME2 because I'm lazy .

I can't be bothered to do ME3 single player because it's not a satisfying experience for me.

It doesn't help knowing that it's actually more difficult to get Shepard killed in this so-called "suicide mission" than it is to get everyone out unscathed. The arrangement of the switches in the first leg of the mission is silly, and let's not forget that you're dealing with wave upon wave of Collectors arriving on beehive segments at the end. And that's before the Contra 3-ripped Space Terminator boss battle.

Unpopular Opinion: Despite digging the music, choosing tasks, and the Long Walk, I think the Suicide Mission is way overrated.

Yep. Just finished ME2 and taking a break before ME3 to play Fallout 4. I've always played straight through before, ME1-2-3. I wonder if I'll feel rusty when I go back to it. I'll just head canon my drop in skill as Shep being out of practice due to his imprisonment :P.
